Leadoff home run to open the 8th, but Logan bounces back and gets three straight first pitch outs.

Still only 60 pitches, could probably come back for the ninth.

with Abdiel Mendoza giving up a single, walk, and RBI double.

Mendoza settling in nicely retiring eight straight since that first inning RBI double.

Craig Yoho gets the call to close things out and answers with three up three down (1 K) to seal the 4-1 Sounds win.

Garrett Spain says ADIOS for the fourth time this year, 4-1 Shuckers bottom four.

Now they’ve got two on, one out with a Luke Adams walk and Luis Lara double (his 2nd of the game and 3rd of the night).

Alright alright alright

Missed a pretty solid night on the farm.

Solid outing by Letson, good rehab starts by Civale and Hall. Really good start by Crow. Debut by Rena tonight. Nice relief by Henderson & Yoho.

A Wilken homer.  Lara with 2 hits, Burke also with with 2 hits. EMJ back in the line up.  A top 100 prospect turns 18. A  lot to digest. Wow.

Will watch some video of Letson and Crow tomorrow.

Lara appears to be finding his groove in AA.

The early season 2025 Shuckers offense is a far cry from mid/late 2024 anemic Shuckers offense

Tyler Renz on in relief bottom four in a still scoreless game.

Renz gave up the lone run of the game in the fourth on back to back doubles, but put in a solid effort overall with 5 IP | 6 H | 1 BB | 4 K.

Ortuno, Ereu, Fielder coming up top of nine trying to put a run (or two) on the board.

Renz with a good outing. This entire group of high schoolers from the past draft have all had nice lines so far in Arizona.

Then next year we have the Tommy John trio of Knoth, Broughton, and Robinson (who are all within 3 months in age of each other) joining them in Carolina to piggyback and build up stamina. Could be a pretty crazy pitching staff.

Sounds are atop the International League West division gaining 1/2 G on Memphis (Cardinals) tonight. They lead their division by 1/2 G. We know the drill, however. They remain 3.0 GB Lehigh Valley (Phillies) and 2.0 GB Jacksonville (Marlins) and Durham (Rays).who are atop the East division and the first half playoff standings. Miles to go but we have to love the fight the Sounds are showing yet again.

Just a refresher of what we may have been looking at post draft w Renz. It'll be interesting to see where he is sitting after an off season presumably at the Complex:
