Marco Dinges' first High-A HR gives the T-Rats a 2-0 lead!

It was such a beautiful moonshot.

Here’s the lineup from that early Wisconsin game at South Bend, with 20-year old LHP Anthony Flores looking to replicate his last start (5 IP, 0 R, 3 Ks). SS Eduardo Garcia came in on a solid 4-game run: 6-for-14, 2 HRs, 6 RBIs.

Dinges Truthers UNITE! Man, I love it.

He is such an underrated stud.

He has huge upside if his defense keeps trending the way it has been trending. His pick off to help Figueroa escape was also massive. The throw to 2B is a work in progress but his athleticism really shows and plays to the corners.

AAA Nashville hosts Yankees’ affiliate Scranton/Wilkes-Barre for a doubleheader to kick off this week’s series, with rehabbing Brandon Woodruff starting the opening game. LF Eddie Rosario makes his 3rd start since joining the squad (2-for-7, HR, walk).

1B Luke Adams (.829 OPS in 157 PAs) is back after missing 3 games, just as SS Cooper Pratt is conspicuously absent for the 2nd straight game. RHP Alexander Cornielle gets the home start against Knoxville, with AA Biloxi aiming for a 2-0 series lead.

Well we got a video feed just in time to see the ump miss a called strike three looking to Dunn (SWB nearly challenged but it's early) but Dunn struck out none the less on a change-up in the dirt. Dalbec was given second life when he skied a pop up that fell between the C, P, and 3B down the 3B line in foul territory. He ultimately K'd on an inside 92 mph sinker. 0-0 we head to the 2nd.

Big Woo works a 1-2-3 second. Ground out to 2B. Check swing whooops slow ground out to Dunn @ 3B. Deep fly out to the left CF warning track Rosario calmly snagged. Heater appears to be sitting 90-91 mph early. Though, we obviously didn't see the top half of the first.

The Sounds bats are extremely uncomfortable vs Sean Boyle early. His sinker, sweeper, change-up is giving them all sorts of uneasy swings. Three up. Three down in their 2nd. 0-0 game. On to the 3rd.

Watching Woodruff today is just making me sad. Sitting 90-92 with his fastballs...tough to watch.

On night's like this where he clearly has no velo, it is still nice to see him find a way. That last AB to Dominic Smith comes to mind. Steal a strike one Uncle Charlie dead center. High 'heater' for the weak fly out to 2B. That was savvy.

BUT, to your point, I hear you. He looks lumbering.

Rumor has it, manager Pat Murphy called Rick Sweet down in the Nashville dugout to see if he could get RHP Nick Mears some more reps after tonight's outing. Murphy was heard saying he wants to give him action in innings in every Brewers affiliated game throughout all the levels. It's aggressive. BUT, hey, we have two-sport athletes. We have Shohei Ohtanis. Why not pitch Mears in every single game being played?! Let's do it.

I don't think I've seen a Sound put a meaningful confident swing on any Boyle pitch. They are completely off-balance. Not getting good reads on what he is doing or what he's throwing by my eyes. Lotta off balance weak contact.

Raynel Delgado savvily swipes 3B - really masterful slide avoiding the near bang-bang tag. Herron hit a slow grounder and Delgado scores on the force out at 1B. Hall reached 2B as a result of the slowly hit ball. 1-0 Sounds. Hall got aboard with the first and only meaningful contact - a ground ball up the middle for a single.

Dalbec with a savvy vet reach poke shallow single to plate Dunn. 0-2 count. Sweeper high and just off the plate. No matter. Bloop. Love it. 2-0 Sounds.

Ernesto is still fighting to find that place he was at to start the season since returning from the thumb injury.

Yup. Timing is still off. He was right on that late count heater but ripped a foul straight back. This type of thing is what I'm most sad about for Seigler. He was absolutely unconscious and then boom. Injury. Unfair.

Made even more annoying because it was 3 innings into giving him his first start at 3B which many of us were clamoring for.

Totally. Just sucked all the way around. Thankfully, we appear to have dodged a prolonged IL stint. BUT, it's his finger. It's not going to be a seamless transition back to mashing. Those things can absolutely linger.
