Used to be 120 pitches you go to the bullpen, then 100, now 80, all while injuries continue to skyrocket

It proved to be another classic bad decision by Murphy to pull his starter early

Alexander needs to join Payamps in the DFA camp

We can piss and moan about the pitching decisions all day along, but the offense has scored 1 run

Yeah but there isn't much you can do about that.  They either hit or they don't.  A manager can definitely make better decisions in managing the pitching staff.

What a disappointing season to date

Tomorrow marks the 1/3 mark of 2025 & at best … if we win today & tomorrow  (which won’t happen) … we are a .500 team

Alexander sucks but I was informed there are no other possibilities as "half the team is on the IL".

Alexander will be sent out soon when DL Hall is activated.

Probably.  I think if I remember right he has some innings based incentives in his contract, so they will definitely cut him before he gets to those.

I know Pittsburgh's bad but I'm not sure we're not going to finish closer to last in the division than we are first

On edits. After the next half inning we will be closer to the bottom than we will be the top

I don’t disagree … it is hard to admit, but we are much more similar to Pittsburgh than we are to Chicago

We need to flush a good number of players off this roster

The 40 man roster creates limitations.  Tyler Jay is another guy who could easily be up here.  But they’d have to release a guy like Peguero who is on the 40.

Cut Alexander ASAP if Jay can help us

If this score holds, it’ll be the 10th time the Brewers have scored 2 runs or less in the month of May. Doesn’t matter who is calling the shots if you need your pitching to put up 1 or 0 half the time out

Our Hydra hitting coaches need to hit the pavement as well.

We may have some help coming back for the pitching staff but there is almost nothing waiting in the wings to help the hitting.

Unfortunately - the score held

Another loss to a horrible team

We may be equally bad as these Pirates

Pat Murphy sucks but moral of the story is the team sucks and a manager is only as good as the team in front of them

Until Quintana, Woodruff, Hall, Cortes, and Gasser come back off of the IL, your choices are:

  • Alexander
  • Elvin Rodriguez
  • Easton McGee
  • Elvis Peguero
  • Bryan Hudson
  • Craig Yoho
  • Tobias Myers

Take your pick of which walk or hit machine should occupy that bullpen spot.
