& Hayden goes 3U3D (2 K) in his first inning back.

What a start for him. Wonder how many innings he will go??

And in Chattanooga, it’s a bases loaded scenario and Spain hits into a 1-2-3 GIDP to end the threat. That just stings.

I'm going to say something mildly controversial but, then again, I often go against the grain of the group think in Prospect Land and I certainly disagree with the Brewers on many of their prospect rankings and opinions:

Marco Dinges is a better prospect at this stage of his career than C Jeferson Quero. Especially, if we consider the shoulder injury to Quero. Dinges is younger. He's improving at the dish on a game-by-game basis. He has a cannon - the throw to 2B will improve. He's younger and has a better hit tool than Quero ever has.

Prove me wrong. And,Regardless of what y'all think and regardless if this take ins merely subjective to my POV: We struck absolute GOLD here.

Definitely controversial, but I understand. Through no fault of his own, Quero sustained a serious injury last year, and his defense will be under scrutiny and his hit tool will need some work with the layoff.  But his star was so bright in ‘22-‘23. But Dinges is the first real catching prospect the Brew have since Quero made his mark in those ‘22-‘23 seasons.  And … checks notes … there is a good catcher in the bigs … good problem to have. It will be interesting to compare these notes at the end of the year and see where Quero and Dinges settle in for the ‘25 season.

Dinges is playing like a man amongst boys right now.

Dinges is not mortal. I asked his dad...who is a God from Ancient Greece. Crazy! He has a lightning bolt in that bat but we mortals can not see it.

Quero's hit tool was never remotely as good as Dinges'. I mean this with all due respect to Quero and anyone's thoughts on Quero. Dinges' hit tool is legit Silver Slugger upside. Quero had a nice run at the dish but I never once felt the way about his bat that I do about Dinges' whose swing is pure silky violent butter nearly every swing attempt with bat speed in the mid 80's! I mean, we are legit looking at a possible Superstar here folks. I am not kidding. He's 21.

Looks like one inning is it.

Griffin Tobias on for the second and goes four up three down allowing a solo shot.

The plan was always one inning. @ARobsBrewCrewtold us so two weeks ago before the debut was pushed back, fwiw. That young man keeps us in the loop

Ok. Dinges swing and metrics may be better, but remember Quero is only 22, and his hitting was very good in ‘23 in Biloxi when he was 20. He had on OPS of .780 with 16 HR as a 20 year old in the Southern league. That is good offensive performance there. Maybe not as pretty as Dinges, and Marco is better hitting prospect, and I have loved his defense and his growth this year.  I will be so happy if both become legit catching prospects in the system. And I respect your views Joseph, and I agree that Dinges is vastly underrated outside of this forum.  We will see as Quero has a lot of questions that he will need to answer this season as he comes back from injury.

Huge hit there by Lara. And Shuckers get back into, the game and take the lead. Wow. Love it

Arizona Crew being held hitless with one HBP.  Otherwise 7 K for the first 10 batters. Ouch.

As a card carrying and founding member of the Dinges Fanatic Club, it is my fiscal responsibility to our shareholders (essentially, @Spencer Michaelis and myself - and, honestly, Spencer doesn't know he is in this club tho if we're being honest he founded it) to establish notoriety and recognition in the public domain. We will be going Public on NASDAQ this fall under the ticker acronym 'DNGRS' we will open trading at $0.999. This honors his AI algorithm-derived future career-MLB OPS.

Man, these Chattanooga camera cut aways where we lose the feed for like a half inning randomly really sucks when the Shuckers just took the lead 9-8 in the top of the 8th. Apparently there's one out? LOL. Nice job Childers!

Areinamo grounds out and it’s 10-3 TRats. Perez strikes out  on to the bottom of 9 in Great Lakes.

Montero breaks up the “no,hitter” in Arizona.

Childers goes 3 up 3 down and on to the 9th in Chattanooga. Shuckers are up let’s get some more.

Clean 1-2-3 from Childers. You love to see it. Gets the swinging K on low off-speed to end the 8th frame.

And, before three runs were scored by Great Lakes the umpire gave them a free pass after the second out via fly out to RF. He called a 'dead ball'. That batter lined a single to LF on the next pitch. Not a fan. 🙃

Shuckers got two aboard with nobody down (1st and 2nd) to start their ninth. Spain K'd. Adams K'd. Boeve will try to do damage. Big insurance runs are on the bags. Can he get them across?
