I'll stick to my call of the Twins' Willi Castro, a 2024 all-star, to replace Monasterio and provide tremendous versatility, and the Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn, a 2025 all-star, to replace Bauers and provide left-handed slugging from first base, DH, PH and a corner outfield.

I've heard Castro being suggested a few times around the net. My family has split loyalties between MIL and MN, so I see / hear a lot of Twins ball. Castro would be a solid add at probably a fairly reasonable price. Not a big splash, but good bang for the buck most likely. Brings a little bit of power upgrade for the OF and super utility. My son and mother in law would be awfully disappointed though.

I live in Minnesota, and Castro is a winning ballplayer. The Cubs and Yankees appear interested in him, but the Twins are always looking for controllable pitching, so the Brewers would be smart to make an offer. Royce Lewis is too tightly wound physically and emotionally to be a welcome addition.

We just relocated back to WI a few years ago. Probably passed by Isaac Collins shopping around Arbor Lakes. LOL. Royce made a big splash introduction banging all those HRs, but unfortunately has battled Garrett Mitchell disease practically ever since. For a budget minded team like MIL, yeah, Castro would be a high quality pickup. Was trade joking with my son - the Twins need pitching and we need some power at 3B, so welcome aboard Brooks Lee. He didn't find that funny.

Castro takes his craft very seriously -- he says he has 12 gloves -- and he deserves to play on a team that has the upward mobility that the Brewers do. I have no gripes with Monasterio except for the fact that he has warning track power. The Brewers need everyone contributing to run prevention and run production.

Josh Smith has been a player I would like to see them acquire for a while now.  At worst, he's a platoon partner for Durbin.  I'd rather have him on the roster than Mona.

I'm sure it would have to be pitching going to the Rangers.  Not sure if it would have to include someone like Myers or if they could go a little deeper into the prospect pool.

Rangers also have Corey Seager who has been absolutely on fire the last 4 weeks batting .329  Only problem is there still in the hunt being only 3 1/2 out of a WC spot. TX sure seems similar to Mil with good pitching also.

MIL needs a power hitter for a serious pennant chase and WS championship. Period. There is only one obvious choice on that list. I would trade his lacking defense at 3B for 20 HRs in the back half of the season. But that is only IF I thought they should go in that big. Not sure I do. Depends on the prospect cost for a 3 month rental. Everyone other than Saurez is either a move mostly trying to upgrade for 2026, or not a serious upgrade (McMahon shouldn't even be in the discussion). They can probably only afford , or have the will to make one big upgrade. It's pretty much Suarez from that list. None of the SS options have the power to make enough difference in my view.

Texas may be sellers soon:

The Texas Rangers begin their last-ditch efforts to get back into the postseason race on Friday, and they'll be doing it with a new veteran on the roster. No, Chris Young hasn't swung any trades yet, but the team did call up former division rival Rowdy Tellez.

Tellez was called up to replace Jake Burger, who is embarking on his second IL stint of the 2025 season.

They have some talent on there team and I do not mean Rowdy. I mean the others on there team.

Saw some speculation about Garcia being a possible MIL target a few days ago.

Yes that was probably because of the Sal Frelick injury.

Ok, I grabbed the wrong article, but I just searched for the text verbatim and found an article that had that exact text. I didn't bother looking for others that may all be sharing the same source content.

The point is you posted and the bulk of your post was just copying and pasting content from somewhere else without indication where you got it.

It's difficult sometimes to know when you're posting original thoughts and when you're just functioning as a news aggregator plopping in some relevant article.

I think Brewers should only go after either of the Jung brothers, Vargas( White Sox) or Royce Lewis if anyone. Maybe Bentinal of White Sox if anyone.
