Low-A Carolina gets a second chance to finish off a home series win over Kannapolis, this time behind RHP Bryce Meccage, who’s on a decent 4-game run (2,45 ERA with 20 Ks in last 18.1 IP). 2B Josh Adamczewski (1.027 OPS in 137 PAs) is back in the lineup after a rest day.

After 2 straight shutout defeats, AAA Nashville finds itself in a 2-2 home series tie against Charlotte. RHP Logan Henderson looks to bounce back from a down outing (3:2 IP, 4 R, 5 H, 4 BB, 2 Ks last week). DH Daz Cameron has a 10-game on-base streak.

As Chris Mehring broadcasts his 3,000th consecutive game, High-A Wisconsin hands the ball to RHP Tanner Gillis (1.81 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 6.9 K/9 in 54.2 IP in Low-A/High-A) as they strive to claw back from a 3-1 series deficit at Quad Cities. 1B Blake Burke needs to snap his 0-for-19 skid.

Jeez. Reece Walling now hitless in his last 31 at-bats, including 0-for-3 with 3 Ks today.

He just struck out on 3 pitches with the game tied 4-4, bases loaded, 1 out in the bottom of the 7th inning.

The Mudcats are trying to pull this out while resting Made, Pena and Payne.
