Brewers at Cubs--Game 2 of Doubleheader --> Tuesday, August 19 @ 7:05 p.m.: Brandon Woodruff (2.06 ERA, 3.62 FIP) vs. Jameson Taillon (4.44 ERA, 5.19 FIP)

Cubs are definitely not going to be scared of us if we play in the playoffs.    We better find a win in the next two games to hold on.  A five game lead with pretty dramatic difference in schedules is not as big as people think.    Really 4 with the tiebreaker

That is wrong.

With the tiebreaker it’s 5. If the team with the lead has the tiebreaker it’s one more.

Think of it as the number of games the trailing team would have to gain.

The tiebreaker is worth half a game.

Absolute garbage performance.

Taillon has mixed it up well. He gave them chances but we couldn't take advantage. It happens.

Taillon is the worst starter the Brewers were going to face in this series and the offense has disappeared.

Be interesting to see how the Cubs handle the bullpen for these last nine outs. Do they try to sneak Taillon through another one or two? I am guessing it's Kittredge and Rogers for sure. We'll see who else factors in with Palencia and Keller having already pitched today.

It's always frustrating when they don't hit, and even more so when they stop forcing the opposing pitcher go deep into counts.  I'm not sure how they lost the train of thought tonight at the plate to at least see more pitches after the 1st inning.

But honestly if they manage to win one more game this series they'll leave Chicago with a 7 game lead.  They'll be fine.  And it really doesn't matter if the Cubs are impressed by the Brewers or not.
