Respect, but I don't buy mentally deflating at all. Watching these guys every day, there's no way any of them believed they had this thing won. If anything, losing these games (and we're still along way from that tonight, let alone tomorrow), is a chance to refocus and know you have to keep battling because there's a lot to play for (which is a reminder they did not require).

I think it’s probably an individual thing. For some guys, they probably aren’t fazed, but for others, I can’t help but think losing 4 of 5 and letting them back in it would get into their heads a little bit.

Lucky to not be down 0-2 in that AB. Ump is missing some for Rea now.

Looks like he would been lucky to strike out.

Still getting runners on and hitting the ball hard.  It just baseball.  That its happening against the Cubs amplifies it but they were due a stretch like this.

Once they started talking about how hot Contreras has been, I swear I knew a double play was in order. lol. We're going to need some big hits today. Still time.

And it was a meatball.

Just brutal offense right now. Hitting balls solidly, getting nothing. That’ll come back around, but who knows when.

7th inning.

Willie is the biggest Debbie downer on this site by far

Get back to me if we win another game this series.    This was exactly what the cubs needed.   They kicked our ass this series and that should be enough confidence for them to win a bunch of series against pretty poor competition.   We will see what happens against a lot better competition when the collar tightens up   I actually think the cubs have a good team

brewers built up a decent cushion but 4.5 games is really not that much.     We wait for chourio to save us.   Heck Perkins and collins miss a weekend and they act like they never played baseball before    And Chourio is gone how knows long

this could easily be down to a couple of games before September even starts

Brewers have had 7 outs this game with EV of 100 or more

I mean he threw Bill a tomato. I would hope he could hit it hard. Hard hot balls on the ground are still going to result in two outs with a slow hitter and runners on. Gotta elevate it.
