Or we're just struggling to play 500 ball the past month.

If they (Texas) get healthy they're a sneaky pick to be hot at the right time and run the table.

Frustrating inning.

This feels kind of like a sneaky big game to me. 15 left after today, and it'd be real nice to be in a spot where you only have to go 10-5. Plus, despite the schedule not being THAT tough, I don't like having the Cardinals twice.

The good news is our whole division is playing 500 the past 2 weeks.

Ortiz is a far better defender at SS. Guessing that's why he's in there predominantly.

This is true, but it still doesn't justify him playing every day when he is a virtual automatic out.

Probably showed that with the first Texas batter in the 4th after not getting a hit with the bases loaded. Just wish it wasn't Ortiz so frequently at bat when needing a hit to score runs.

Why was it too early to ph for Ortiz there? No guarantee you will get another shot. Yesterday I was told Ortiz stranding bases loaded every other day is basically irrelevant. The man is begging to be benched. Please accommodate him.

Good thing our bullpen is well rested

If the Brewers don't win the division I should be banned. However, they will.

But I'm not worried about the division. If we keep playing sub 500 ball the rest of the month, the Phillies will easily pass us up for the #1 seed.

That’s all fine and good, but you can’t be an everyday SS based only on defense alone and NO bat. You have to be able to offer at least minimal offensive production, even if just a ,675 OPS.
