Another day where what the Cubs and Phillies do doesn't matter.

Go Brewers!

Not understanding the magic number is something you don’t see very much

I don’t understand kids these days.  😀

Somehow you believe the Cubs celebration today demonstrates they believe they will not win the division.

The Cubs are rapidly running out of games. 10 more to play.

Kikuchi has a WHIP of 1.46. ERA 4.08. We ought to put a lot of balls in play against him tomorrow.

Agreed. They should do him a solid and let him go unfortunately he would be claimed by someone who they might see later on.

I don’t believe Hoskins would be eligible for the postseason unless it is with the Brewers. Can someone confirm or correct me?

Interesting that Cubs went all out with celebrating today. Brewers seemed more muted when they clinched. Tells you that Cubs don't think there is a division to celebrate.

This was you previous post. Remember?

He wasn’t playoff eligible for  anyone but Milwaukee after 9/1

To be eligible for a team’s post season roster the player must be in that organization, not necessarily the major league team, by midnight on August 31st.

The Magic Number is Six, no? Why does Brewer Fanatic's front page have it at 8?I find this annoying.😅

Maybe for number one seed?

Clearly. Both teams are in the playoffs. One team partied like they won the world series and one had a toast and read a letter. You tell me why they were so different. Probably because one has bigger fish to fry and one is just happy to be in the dance. It's not that hard. You're making it way bigger.

The magic # to clinch the division is now 6.   To clinch the overall #1 seed (AL & NL) it is currently 8.  Phillies are down 3-0 in the top of the 6th.  If they lose then it is 7.

I get that Uribe hasn't pitched a ton this month, and maybe he just needs the work, but if Megill is down as bad as it sounds like, you know Uribe is going to rack up some miles here pretty soon. Seems weird in a 7-run game, but hey, that's why Murph makes the big bucks I guess.

I was thinking the same thing. I would have preferred Fedde just finish the game.
