Martinez, recently turned 22, will serve as an emergency catcher while at the AAA level.

Mills turns 20 in June, was drafted in the 18th round last summer out of a Missouri high school, and has raked to a 1.258 OPS in his six Arizona Complex League games. Surely he's also impressed coaches and staff throughout spring camp, he was an intriguing player of interest from the moment he was drafted.

Technically not a minor league transaction (yet), but on the big league level, Strzelecki was DFA’d to make room for Robert Gasser’s MLB season debut.

As I detailed in the Nashville section of Saturday’s Link Report, RHP Joshua Quezada made the most of his Wilson-to-Nashville excursion.

He’s been rewarded with a return assignment to Wilson to rejoin the Warbirds with a few stories to tell, surely.

It’d be cool if he joined the Sounds on their flight to Durham prior to making the redirect to Wilson in the Raleigh area.
