Morrison, Owens, Thompson and Payne have not yet been called into Major League camp to participate in Spring Training games, so I’m thrilled to see their names on the list.

Bummer that Frank Cairone can’t participate this year, but hopefully he’s making a phenomenal, full recovery and can play next year. Prayers going his way regularly.

Josh Knoth (last played August 2024) is also a missing name from our Top 30 prospects. I hope he’s on course to start the MILB season nonetheless.

Letson looked good. Only one hit worth a darn from Farmelo. Everything else grounders, with a crazy play by Pratt in the first.

Holy crap, another crazy play by Pratt. A damn bullet turning two in the second.

I wasn’t able to watch much but…

-Letson looked good for sure. Unfortunately, Ryan Sloan was doing a lot of the same stuff but was filthy sharp in comparison

-Meccage looks ready to pitch a lot this year. Big dude. Good repertoire

-Pratt’s arm was incredible. 70 grade clearly

-Jett Williams is a great hitter. He looked locked in and disruptive as hell

-Wilken’s looking K was egregious. Perfect pitch to hammer

And I was impressed with how our hitters battled. Sloan was a load but even against him they got deep into some counts.

This is awesome stuff! Bravo to MLB and to both the Mariners and Brewers for loading up their rosters.

Lots of infield singles against Letson. He looked good.

Braylon Payne had a 110mph rocket right to 1B for a double play with two guys on.

Pena with an opposite field gap HR to break it open.

Our depth just took over once guys started to get taken out. Having guys like Bitonti, Fischer, and Dinges (with Burke not even making the team) just dwarfs the competition in the later innings.

Eric Bitonti entered in the 7th inning, Andrew Fischer in the 8th inning. They both doubled in their first plate appearances, with Fischer getting the RBI for a 6-2 advantage:

While Mariners’ prospect Ryan Sloan was the story early (9-up, 9-down, no balls hit to the outfield), solid defense and 3B Jett Williams’ leadoff double in the bottom of the 4th inning helped turn the tide.

DH Luis Pena struck the big blow via a 3-run shot in the bottom of the 6th inning, after which the Brewers never looked back in their 7-3 victory.

RHP Bishop Letson started and topped out at 97.2mph, tossing 32 pitches and conceding 1 run over 1.1 IP. LHP Brian Fitzpatrick stranded 2 inherited runners to keep the game tight at 1-0.

The Brewers defense turned 3 double plays and Bryce Meccage and Jaron DeBerry combined to cover 5 innings (1 unearned run).

8th inning doubles by super-subs Eric Bitonti, Andrew Fischer and Daniel Dickinson extended the Brewers lead to 7-2 before the Mariners added a late solo homer.

9 different players tallied 1 hit each for the Brewers, as 17 batters and 6 pitchers saw action. Quero went 2-for-2 on ABS challenges, while Darrien Miller was 1-for-2.

The next Spring Breakout game is Sunday, March 22 against the A’s.

Someone is clearly in mid-season form. And, no, I am not talking about any players here. Great synopsis, Daniel! Many thanks!

The A’s starting pitcher is 22-year old LHP Jamie Arnold, their number 2 prospect and the 11th overall selection of the 2025 draft. His signing bonus was nearly $6m and he’s yet to make his MILB debut, though he’s pitched in 2 MLB Spring Training games.
