I think there's premier League soccer teams that could learn from Purdue how to dive for a call.

I think Texas used their appeal earlier. I would like to have the refs go review that flop there

Wow Iowa. Not sure it is a huge upset but they look good right now.

IMO that was a pretty big surprise. Thought beating Florida would be an impressive capper to their season, but it would go no further. They guard & command pace well, but now Koch is giving them another shooting threat, and Folgueiras----I just never expected him to perform at the level he is.

From Fran to McCollum is such a huge chasm of a difference.

Illinois seemed to be hitting a rough patch--6-5 in their last eleven games--but four of those losses were in OT. That's one awfully good team when they guard, & they're sure guarding tonite vs Houston. Boswell making it back to take some heat off Wagler is pretty big.

Oof... that Houston loss sunk me, I think 😉

I had the Coogs, too. I also have St Johns & UConn tonite.

Wonder what kind of odds someone could get on an all-B10 FF?

The only big 10 team I refuse to cheer for is Purdue.

Those flip-flopping bastards can suck it.

On the defensive end they clutch and grab and claw daring the officials to call it and then flop like they were shot with a bazooka every time someone remotely makes contact with them.

By far the least likable Big ten team left and that's saying something with Michigan in the mix.

The amount of nausea I experienced watching One Sweet 16 team after the next absolutely choke opps away at the free throw line was alarming. The more things change...BUT, then, to see UConn Big Man Tarris Reed Jr. and his season tally of 58.2% from the charity stripe step to the line and sink 4 straight crunch time FT's ensuring UConn finally pulled away from Izzo's Spartans - including his last two with 3.8 seconds remaining to put the Husky up by 4 - well, all was redeemed. That was as clutch '...put the noise aside and execute!' as it gets. Great finish in that Spartan/Huskies game. Very very little margin for any amount of error. Impressive final minutes.

Year after year, I just have to give Izzo so much credit. After the first 10 minutes of that game, I was convinced UConn was gonna pretty much cruise. Getting back in the game with toughness & defense, and some great play by bigs who weren't much when they got to East Lansing but have developed so much over their careers. (DEVELOPED--kind of a forgotten word in the NIL & portal era).

How the hell did Wisconsin beat Michigan on the road?

As I recall, 1.  UW hit a bunch of threes. 2.  Dusty May had Mara on the bench for a big chunk of the game because he couldn’t guard Bieliauskas on the perimeter.

So sad to see Duke on the business end of a last second shot in the tourney....

To bad it was UConn on the other end but yes F Duke

I needed Duke to lose to Michigan to win my work bracket.  Now I have extra reasons to hate duke.

Remember what Yoda said:

I seldom watch Sportscenter but I saw neither game today & flipped it on to find out who won. It was glorious. I have no idea who these people were, but it was a three-way divided screen & it sounded to me like they were holding a combined funeral/mutual therapy session regarding the ESPN Darlings losing to Connecticut.

Beautiful.

Like anyone needs more reasons to hate Duke.

Here's one more. After watching his team go down by a point with .3 left, the Duke radio announcer went with:

“Malachi Smith ran off the bench! That should be a technical!"

That would have been the most Duke way to win a game, though.

Picking against Duke might've saved my work bracket.  Now if AZ beats UCONN in the finals, I'm tied for first place.

The BF.net bracket on the other hand... 😠

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."

Bieliauskas was also able to body up and played very good defense against Michigan's bigs, IIRC.

All I know is Dan Hurley is a big jackwagon.  "I thought he wanted to chest bump me?"  His antics make Bobby Knight look like a choir boy.

I was torn between UCONN and Duke.  Duke gets so many breaks and UCONN has a tool for a coach.

Go, Illinois!

After the first weekend, I was last in my work bracket.

Now I need AZ to beat UCONN to win the bracket... sorry Big10. I cheer against you this weekend. (Not that I have any love for ILL or MI anyway...)
