Well, if Woodruff has to sit out & Crow is the replacement, he's throwing on the same day so it would be pretty seamless.

This Shields character is the Royals #3 overall prospect and he is carving up the TRats right now ... so I would say in my 9 minutes of watching him he looks the part and I now request he joins our organization instead.

As @Ro Muellermentioned, the numbers aren't as gaudy as Pratt & Williams in recent games but he's quietly heading northward. Yeah, that HR was just pasted.

Expectations?  I mean, I feel so disappointed by the MiLB season so far, and in reality it's not because of a "down" year, but more a "year that doesn't match sky high expectations".  In AA, Letson is going through an adjustment phase I suspect and Hardin pitched well but when they make contact it is a hit almost 50% of the time (>.400 BABIP) which will improve.  Meccage has been very good, but so inconsistent. And several others are slowly ramping up as they come back from injury or have innings limited for long term health.

Now the better lower level pitchers are maybe under the radar in Bonet and Owens.
And many 2025 draft picks or season long IL pitchers with a lot of upside still haven't debuted this year (Thompson, Morrison, Knoth, Dubanewicz, Broughton to name a few)

The pitching staffs are almost always one of the youngest per league.

So yes poor results, but I will change my own expectations to define success as
1. we see health and
2. we see improvement.
