Insane bunt. If that's the plan bench him.

Little league kids wouldn’t bunt there.  It’s truly unbelievable.   The guy is almost impossible to double up and he refuses to swing the bat.

To be fair, the bunt is probably the best percentage play with Hamilton.

If he has to bunt, he could at least try to bunt away from and past the pitcher instead of putting it right in front of the plate.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

I'd be interested to know if that was called from the dugout.  Frelick waited to see if the ball would get by the pitcher so neither the suicide or safety squeeze were on.

Chourio has to know Turang is behind him and take his walk.

He also knows that he has been responsible for most of the Brewers runs in this series.

Exactly.

You are all grousing about the punching judy with wicked speed.  Meanwhile, I am still scratching my head why Frelick did not have that EASY TRIPLE.

Fine with the bunt idea but it needs to be a decent bunt or foul.

No.   Just no man.  Swing the damn bat.

Good call.

Pretty easy call.  I'm sure somebody else would have posted it because that's literally all he does with runners on base.

I’ve just had it with David Hamilton. Get Jett up already.

Your objective with a runner on 3rd and 1 out is to drive the runner on 3rd in. Not to sacrifice the guy on 1st to 2nd.

Terrible baseball. If you can’t swing the bat when the situation calls for it, you don’t belong in a major league lineup.

Murphy so desperately wants Hamilton to be good. He’s not.

Bunt up the first base side scores a run and advances the runner into scoring position, nothing wrong with that

Didn’t see the play, just heard on the radio. Was Frelick dogging it or what happened?

In any event, the Brewers have had to work awfully hard to only have one run right now.

He wasn't sure if Bauers was going to be sent

Replay didn't really show Frelick so I'm not sure.

I think my answer a page ago was the most likely scenario but we've never seen any replay to confirm it.  Bauers held up and then got going, Frelick probably wasn't sure if they were going to send Bauers home from 3rd and didn't want to get caught between 2nd and 3rd in case Bauers was held up.

1st and 3rd with one out and you’re going to try to kill an inning by giving up an out?  Swing the bleeping bat

Yeah, I just don’t agree. If the squeeze is on, okay. But it wasn’t.

At some point you need to be able to assume that an MLB hitter can hit a routine fly ball.
