It’s a home doubleheader for Low-A Wilson today, who need at least a split against Delmarva to clinch this week’s series. RHP Jacob Morrison (9.1 IP, 2 R (1 ER), 7 Ks) gets the start in Game 1. DH Pedro Ibarguen has a 6-game hitting streak.

Rylan Mills did it again! Game tying double in a 1-2 count down to their last two outs and trailing by a run. He pulled some pretty high heat for a LF/CF alley double to the base of the wall. I'm going to see if Spencer has the clip.

LHP Anferrny Reyes continues to have a revelatory season. 3 1/3 IP of scoreless middle innings relief today. 1 H, 0 BB, 4 K, 0 R. One of the more pleasantly surprising seasons in the entire system. That's now 11 appearances, 22.0 IP, 31 K, and a 0.91 WHIP. Unreal.

After winning Game 1 already today to clinch the series, the Low-A Warbirds can make it a 5-1 week with another home win over Delmarva in Game 2.

RHP Carlos Carra (7.34 ERA, 1.66 WHIP, 10.0 K/9 in 30.2 IP) is actually the starter.

SS Brady Ebel, C Kevin Garcia and LF Nick Monile are the lineup entrants for Game 2.

If Dinges isn't going to catch, he isn't nearly the prospect

He's caught 50% of his games this season. He's DH'd the remaining half. I don't understand your premise here especially given his injury history. He's shown improvements behind the dish - his primary position - but easing up on the demands of his body (that has experienced numerous nagging injuries over the past two seasons) isn't throwing in the towel.

To me, he is one of our top prospects and needs to catch more. A guy without a lot of experience catching isn't going to improve as quickly if he isn't catching. He is almost 23 and still in A ball, 50% isn't enough.

I never said throwing in the towel so that is conjecture on your part. He may still have an MLB future at another position but the real value is as a catcher.

The AAA Sounds have won 11 of 12 games to sprint to a 3-way tie atop the 20-team International League. LHP Thomas Pannone makes his 2nd start in Durham this week (4 IP, 4 R, 4 Ks on Tuesday). DH Luis Matos has a 6-game hitting streak, while LF Tyler Black is in a 1-for-17 slump.

Still the only 20-year old pitcher in the Southern League, RHP Manuel Rodriguez makes his 2nd start of the week (5.1 IP, 3 R (2 ER), 6 Ks on Tuesday), as AA Biloxi seeks to complete a 5-0 home series sweep of Birmingham. SS Jesus Made has 12 hits and 14 RBIs in his last 6 games.

I suspect that Biloxi only has 10 healthy AA level position players (Matt Wood on the bench today; Edgardo Ordonez available in an emergency), given the absences of Mark Coley II and Eric Brown Jr. from the lineup. Hopefully they’ll be right back in action by Tuesday.

Jeez. Wilson nearly pulled off another great rally.

Down 4-2 in the final half-inning, they opened with a Monile single and 2 walks, cutting it to 4-3 with men on 2nd and 3rd, nobody out. But an Anderson K and Montero fly out double play (Encarnacion gunned down at home) ended it.

Dang. Bummer.

Yeah. I'm just going to let this play out.

Unconcerned.

Just grateful he is healthy and getting consistent game action. The time it takes is the time it takes.

I trust the Brewers know what they're doing here. The plan was always to get him more innings behind the dish in the AFL. Then he re-aggravated a severe soft tissue hamstring injury from the 2025 summer. Again, I trust they have a plan in place.

Glad to be wrong, as EBJ is clearly ready to play. Hope no issue with Keith:
