With the Rangers struggling to keep their heads above water and the Brewers somehow overcoming the black hole on the left side of the infield and pitching injuries, does a play for Josh Jung made sense?  2 more years of control at what is not a crazy arb salary,  I can't watch Rengifo anymore.  I just can't.  At least Jung is a "known" commodity.  You never know what Jett or Pratt are going to do with a call up.  Lights may be too bright at first.  If the Brewers can weather the pitching injury storm, it sure would be nice to be loaded on both side when everyone comes back and they gear up for October.    If so, what would it take to get him?

He is under contract for two more seasons, might be more expensive than you think

According to Cot's, he's got 2 arby years left.  Only this years salary is posted.

Jung has 2.5 years left (this year and two arbitration years). He's putting up about a 3 win season. It would be costly.  The other issue of course is that the Rangers are only 2 games out and trading Jung also opens up future holes for the next two seasons.

I would love Jung but with the minor league IF depth getting close I would probably wait. Jung is hitting over .300 and with the control will cost a pretty penny. Now if we get to the deadline and Jett or Pratt arent ready than I can could be persuade to cough up the necessary price.
