Yes I am. Are you? I mean you're the one that wants Gary Sanchez in the lineup against a right handed starter, which would make me question that.

I want power hitters in a game with a short porch.

We are playing in a AAA ball park. In the west, makes 1990's Rockies stadium seem demure.

We had power hitters in the game....Other than Chourio in the first inning, they didn't get the job done.

Why would you take out Contreras for Sanchez or Bauers for Vaughn against a right handed starter?

I do think there’s merit to suggesting that you need to play these games and lineups with the stadium and environment and power in mind,

There have been 17(!) homeruns hit in 2 games this series. This is not like setting a lineup in AmFam.

I understand the positional limitations but you could have gone Bauers for Frelick in the OF and then Vaughn for Bauers. I think that would have been reasonable.

And Rengifo shouldn’t be on this roster. He shouldn’t be your best starting option anywhere on any night.

I could hit a homerun in this park and I'm a dad.

I could hit a homerun in this park and I'm a granddad.... Several times.

What power hitters are we missing?  Only maybe Sanchez?

Yelich, Chourio, Contreras, Bauers all played and Vaughn came off the bench.  Cannot play 2 catchers and two 1st baseman at the same time.

Just to reinterate.....Murph did not start Vaughn or Sanchez....feels like a no brainer.

I know murphy rides his top players hard, but even I was a bit surprised Contreras started at catcher again over Sanchez, given the heat, length of the game on Monday, and the emotional comeback win.

Seemed like an obvious rest day for Contreras yesterday.

This Alvarado character has a live arm.

3 ks from 3/4/5 maybe isn't the most productive inning.

Let's see if the A's tempt fate and bring in a lefty for the 8th and pray Vaughn doesn't get a chance with a runner on.

yeah, when he came in the game and they showed his stats on the screen, i assumed he was a mediocre at best pitcher; then he proceeds to throw gas and strike out all four hitters he faced...

It's just not going to happen. Vaughn is not going to play anywhere other there 1B and DH because that's all the he can play. Him playing 10 innings at 3B half a decade ago just doesn't matter at all.

I literally can't even imagine Vaughn playing 3B.

He'd be a statue over there.

Turns out he actually did for an inning and it was completely fine.

It’s the hot corner. It’s about lateral reaction a lot more than range. You’re not going to get gold glove defense obviously, but there are some similarities between 1B and 3B, as long as you can make a throw to 1st.

They might be making adjustments after this series LOL

No adjustments as there are only about 3 rows of stands in some spots in the OF.

The supposed dimensions are 323 down the line to left and right field.

372 to left center, 395 to center and 379 to right center.

The front of the stadium is where they have enough room and that is where the majority of the seats are along with the team store and other restaurants.  I think it was supposed to be 340 down both of the lines originally but I think they ran out of room and had to change it.

You have to use a ruler and the scale but here is where you can get the dimensions on the stadium.
