I saw this kind of defense Tuesday at my beer league softball game.

Bauers fails to plate the runner at 3rd and then whiffs on a pick. Guess you’ll live with it when his bat is as good as it is but woof, two bad plays in a row. Brewers coming apart here defensively

Brewers simply can’t head west for seven games with this 26-man roster. The infield defense is not major league quality.

Yes. He has like 60 major league ABs and it’s been a mix of good stuff and rookie stuff, exactly what you’d expect. It’s not like he’s just been an outright disaster. He’s been good enough to accumulate 0.4 WAR in that very small sample.

Let’s give the 21 year that the organization felt confident enough to give a super long extension to more than like a few weeks worth of ABs before we write him off as a future starter.
