Exept.......you're not positive.........

EXCEPT, I am positive in the IGTs. You? Interesting hill to climb.

I know I've been gripping the wheel too tight over the last month when it comes to the Brewers. And a lot of that has to do with the way they've lost, and how it has resembled recent playoff exits. Combine that with the Cubs playing great ball and it felt worse than it probably was.

We all invest a bunch of time, energy, and money into this thing. Of course things get emotional. Wouldn't be as fun without that emotion.

Just heard on MLB Network

Aidan Virk “ The Brewers win again…..and Logan Henderson beats another playoff team……they probably could have had Skubal but it would have cost them Henderson…..looks like they made the right call”

Steve Phillips…..” Yeah but I still would have done it”

Me “ Yeah and that’s why you’re not a GM anymore …….”

Enough of the fight between the sunshine blowers and the nattering nabobs of negativity.

Just wanted to celebrate that thanks to taking the first two of this series, our current opponent is no longer much of a threat to pass us for one of the byes in the postseason (6 games back). They're now being chased pretty seriously by the Phils for the division, too. They're basically in the headspace we were after the SD series - keep the pressure on'em tomorrow.

Sorry, this was a tongue in cheek comment.  I just waded through the last 2 pages of this thread and all heck broke out.   Want to see if this holds up if the Brewers win the whole damn thing.

I mean what teams can match up against the Dodgers when they have a 800M payroll and can defer money for years down the road?

The way you give yourself a chance is by working smarter (and maybe harder). The analytics of pitching. Scouting & drafting. Development. Seeing underlying things in some players that others maybe don't (See Bauers; Jake). Being good at that stuff at least partially makes up for not being able to buy your way out of bad personnel decisions or injuries.

And I don't know if there's anyone in MLB that does a better job of this than the Brewers. The way this whole thing is built & maintained deserves more credit than most of us give them, even the more 'positive' fans. This is true today, it's true tomorrow, and it was true after they lost three in SD.

Who would play the OF against LHP? Vaughn DH, Bauers 1B but that would mean Frelick or Mitchell would be in against a lefty

I was at the game today and I thought that the ideal lineup for today would have been just what it was but with Sanchez at DH instead of Yelich.

The Crew is a really good team. Our fanbase is just ridiculously emotional game to game. Wild card or bust, Cubs catching the Crew last this week. We suck.

Just out of curiosity, where else have you lived for any significant period of time that has a fan base that is less emotional than Brewefs fans?

You're right. I've just always had a hard time differentiating between a knee-jerk reaction at the ballpark or watching at home, and actually typing some of this stuff out. Whatever🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️.

There is a thing known as dictation.

When Frelick returns, the roster is in sort of the same situation it was in earlier this season when (as you said) either Mitchell or Frelick plays vs a LHP. The two differences are A) Bauers has gone from being a 1B you can throw into a corner OF spot sometimes to a legit option in RF. That was something I didn't see coming, due to not trusting his OF defense & never in a million years imagining him putting up quality ABs vs lefties.

B) is Lara being a better option than Blake Perkins was.

And all of this probably puts more pressure on Yelich to be better. There are other options & soon there will be one more.

You are a champion of telling others how to post. Why does it bother you when people are called out for insane posts? Fan how you want to. I fan by being reasonable.

No ego there.

Yep. And even THAT is (one would think) much less reactionary than spewing an expletive or dismembering a remote.

I’ve never dismembered a remote, but things significantly wordier than just spewing an expletive can be dictated in between batters or even in between pitches.

Somtimes  the spewed expletive can be followed by phrases like “swing the ****** bat“, or “get the ball over the ****** plate“, or “you ****** suck”.

I know.   Usually I scream “Turang, why did you make that negative below replacement play resulting in a poor weighted runs created environment!!!!!!!!!”    And then I get over it five minutes later because I forgot to add the “plus” after it and I knew I was being silly

Yep. Kinda my point. between batters is hardly reactionary.

It all comes back to the same merry-go-round we've been seeing on here. It's within every posters' right. Some will think it's fine. Some will criticize. And some will decide the IGT during the meat portion of the game isn't for them.

Dan Wilson is having a tough week of leaving his starting pitcher in a little too long
