He sucks too.   The only hits he gets are some sort of bat handle shot that has weird spin and drops in some obscure space on the field.    People were getting a boner when hoerner made a diving catch but it was just another jam shot bloop from frelick

I think the last paragraph of your Hamilton post applies to Frelick more than Hamilton.

On the eye test alone, I thought he was better than last outing even if the numbers didn’t say so. 

His defense sucked. Naylor cost him two runs with the non challenge.

I would give him his next regular start at AmFam and see what happens. If it doesn’t go well, then we have to figure out our next move. 

It it goes well, and continues to go well at home , I’m going to hand him the ball in Milwaukee in the playoffs and avoid him entirely on the road.

At some point or another you have probably said almost every Brewer player “sucks”.

Yup. Offense has been fine. We are not used to bad defense and pitching.

No question Murphy does unusual things with the lineup. I am a fan of keeping the same batting order with changes only for platoon players or horrible slumps.

Not only in the lineup, buts hes been impactful with his bat, glove, and ABS challenges.  A (not)well-rounded performance,

Like the idea of trying to get Anderson through the 7th here. He's been good.

Even if the offense doesn't come back, we should be in good shape headed into the Cubs series.

Of all the bad deadline acquisitions for the Brewers this year (and most have indeed been very bad), Senzatela is the one I sympathize with the most. 

For whatever reason they tried to re-invent him as almost exclusively a 1 inning reliever and took away his breaking ball. None of it has worked well for him.

You have to wonder who is benefiting from this 6 man rotation. It feels like the starting pitching hasn't been great since they did it. If guys need a break I'm for put them on IL for a turn or two. Some guys like May don't seem to benefiting

The whole idea is we won't know if it worked until October.

I thought May was pitching very well pre-rain delay. He's shown flashes.

Harrison looks like he's really struggling with confidence and location. Team needs a reset button. A comeback win here or a series victory over the Cubs headed into the off day would suffice.

I bet a lot of you didn’t know that one of the guys we gave up for Senzatela is a rookie who had a K/9 of over 15 in Biloxi and who currently has a 1.93 ERA with the Rockies (yes, their MLB team).
