The Cubs will go further in the playoffs than this team will.

Brewers are failing earlier than last year that's for sure.

Might as well cancel the season because the rotation has struggled two weeks out of the year

This is why you get into spats with everyone,

There’s nothing inherently wrong with being a positive poster.

You are incapable of just engaging in a friendly conversational disagreement with anyone who has a different opinion than you. You have to go completely off the rails sarcastic strawman anytime anyone states something that is a negative thing that exists about the team right now.

Like it’s that far fetched to think the Cubs will go further.   Brewers arms are gassed.  Several players are playing with injuries.   They have too many dudes with zero power.

So where would you put them in the lineup today(you dont get to say not at all, because they ARE in the LU today), and can you guarantee the outcome would be different?

That’s on the manager for continuing to give PAs to Frelick. No legitimate contender gives 350 PAs to a corner OFer with a .620 OPS.

That Frelick isn’t in AAA to begin with is Arnold’s fault.

well with Romero pitching today that means he won't be available tomorrow unfortunately.

Would have been nice to have him for a couple of the games against the Cubs.

I don't necessarily disagree with this, but right or wrong, he is in the lineup today and I guess my question is, if he wasn't(we'll assume Lara would be instead), is their a GUARANTEE the outcome would have been different?

I guess we will see if there is baseball next year but this has to be the off season where you package a few prospects along with young vets like Frelick Mitchell etc to get a middle order bat. It's been fun as is but it's time. If Yelich can't play the outfield he's gotta platoon at first. You cannot tie up dh with non hitter.

It's not a finished story obviously, but so far perhaps the worst trade deadline ever from Matt Arnold.

Actually for me anyway, the biggest mistake he made, and I would have said this even before the season, and told ppl they should have signed Murakami. Look how cheap he signed for with the White Sox, and how good would his bat look in the LU. Now ppl may ask where would he play? You figure it out.

It will be interesting how Murphy will defend Hamilton in his postgame presser.

You think you can hurt me? I watch Wisconsin sports. You can't hurt me.

Nothing is  guaranteed but Sal has been hitting about .220 since coming off the IL, so there’s a strong probability Lara would have done something with 5 pas.

I get that manager’s have “their guys” who they play more than they should but it’s at the point that Frelick should be buried on the bench as a pinch runner.

Is this what you cal "throwing in the towel"? I'd guess you're not putting your best arms out there in a game where you give up (at least) 10 runs at a fairly steady pace.

The whole purpose of starting him was just to give Sanchez and Contreras a full days of rest

I hope the three letters at the end of your post stand for something like "Just For Charm." If not, it's a violation of the Second Commandment (the list according to Catholic tradition). Absolutely no need for that type of language on this board, even if it's abbreviated.

They knew in June they’d need SP to get to the finish line,  and weren’t willing to give up the amateur talent to get it.  Can’t have both the prospect love and bring aboard dudes at the deadline who are likely to get the cart over the finish line.

I’m confident Arnold got the best players he could with what he was willing to trade.
