On the big-league level, happy 30th to LH reliever JoJo Romero.

Switch-hitting middle infielder CJ Hughes, drafted in the 11th round in 2025 out of a California high school, turns 19. Hughes smacked 15 extra-base hits among his 36 hits overall and worked walks and HBP's to a .378 OBP with 16 steals in 21 attempts in his age 18 rookie season. He'll need to work on that 44% K rate this offseason, however.

I wonder if anyone in the history of the Brewers' organization has received less attention for a 20+HR, 90+RBI season than Luis Castillo?

He certainly has some new prospect life. Good arm too with lots of assists. People will really believe if he does it in AA.

21-year old RHP Bishop Letson (9.2 IP, 3 R, 14 Ks over last 2 outings) makes his final regular season start of 2026, as AA Biloxi aim to tie up their series at Pensacola. LF Josh Adamczewski has an 11-game hitting streak.

It's certainly a notable season. It's a fantastic change from where his trajectory was headed. I think he needs to prove it, tho, with another plus season. He really struggled in 2025. Is this real? I sure hope so!

It is pretty crazy to compare HR from 2025 to 2026

In 2025 the entire minor leagues for the Brewers ,AAA to DSL, hit 482 HR, this year 718 (not counting last night, I believe) and counting. Bitonti lead our system with 19 HR this year we have 6 players over 20 and that isn't counting Ragsdale who was traded and now has 24. 

I am sure a little of that can be contributed to a change in the ball or whatever some people believe. However a big part has to deal with how young our org is and just having 18-21 year olds getting stronger. I would think that we could even see more jumps next year since most of our top bats are still going to be in the minors, at least to start the year.

HR numbers are up throughout all of baseball. So I would probably give a 20% discount. Which still is impressive. With the number with over 24 HRs (I think 4 or 5), that is still more than we had over 20 last year. And with a 30% discount, it is more like 3, but Fischer would be sitll over 30 HR with that much of a discount which is still in elite territory.
