At first I questioned why Yost would pinch hit Helms for Branyan against a righty but it actually made sense and worked out. You want a guy who'll make contact to score the guy. Fair enough.

I dunno, you can't really expect that much more out of Davis today; 7.1 IP, 2 ER, 6 H, 0 BB, 7 K. If that can't get you a win, I'd blame the offense.

I'm not saying it's a bad line, just that he had the lead, and he coughed it up. I don't know why you don't just start with Wise in the first place though.

You don't put Wise in becuase Davis showed no reason to have himself pulled. And with Sheeter gone, Davis has to be the guy who steps up and eats innings. Otherwise we'll be seeing a lot of Santos relief stints.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/sick.gif
