Just shows some hits are more important than others and stats don't tell the entire story. An 0-2 with 2 flyouts would have been better but yes I know it was a small sample!

6 hits thru 4 innings is not too bad. But the 7 strikeouts are a killer (same thing the Nats are saying right now).

Yeah, I pinch hit there. Your bullpen is going to have to get you through this game anyways. Whatever scrub we use to get us through the 7th when we are down 4-1 could have also pitched the 6th.

Yost just gave up one of the 15 outs he had left so he could leave his lefthander in the game possibly for just one more inning to face Vidro, Guillen, Wilson, Castilla.

"only" 94 pitches but you can't expect him to go more than one inning. Davis is a horrible hitter and the pen is fully rested. I would have lifted him.
