Which is a perfect example of why RBIs are an overrated statistic. Especially when their context isn't considered.

According to Gammons on Baseball Tonight a couple nights ago, Williams will be fired the day after the All-Star break if Houston stays where they are in the standings.

 

Hopefully Jimy Williams puts Houston in such a big hole that their new (competent) manager can't right the ship.

 

Picking up Beltran is nice, of course, but I think not having Dotel will hurt the Astros more in the long run.

Brooks has thrown just one inning in the last two weeks. Expecting him to be sharp is asking a lot.
