Bummer.

I can't get too down about this loss, though...a series win in Arizona is pretty impressive, Suppan had his best outing in probably a month, and the Brewers put up a good fight against the guy who's probably going to end up winning the NL Cy Young. Even though this is a loss, I think they go into San Francisco on a pretty good note.

Sorry to have been right, everyone. I would have liked for it to have ended differently.
Ball Game.... Night everyone. I can no longer post here tonight.
Are you just trying to egg people on?

i thought that ball by estrada was gone as well. We take 2 of 3 so thats nice. I would have been awesome to get this one though. Valverde is good but dude is a jag.

Sorry to have been right, everyone.

We've got ourselves a regular Nostradamus here, folks.

Anyway, a loss is a loss but a series win is a series win and I take hope in Suppan's outing.

I like being called a Nostradamus. Thank you.

Agreed. I still feel mildly disappointed as I do after every loss, but Suppan pitched fairly well and we hung in there against Webb. Lets go get the Giants this weekend.

This really sucks. A sweep tonight could have been enormous. It was still a good series, but we need every game we can get from here on out.

We may or may not stay in a first place tie, Cubs threatening in the 8th, they're locked in a 2-2 tie with Baseball's All-Seniors Team.

I don't think there can be too much complaining about this game tonight. Well played, just ended up on the short side of the score. To get a couple runs against Webb is a feat, and Suppan pitched well. What else can we do?
Posted
Yeah, a sweep would have been huge, I agree. I think getting a series win on the road against the hottest team in the league is satisfactory though, whatever happens with the Cubs at China Basin tonight.

looked like a good game. 2 runs off of Webb is great and we "battled" all the way.

About time Suppan pitched well. (except the first inning)

Did anyone feel frustrated in this game like other close games or are you just relieved we won a road series and can move on to Cali?

Now, in the Cubs Giants game, I can't say that the game is over even though the Cubs are currently ahead 3-2 (as of this typing) in the top of the 9th. Dempster has been a very iffy pitcher, where Valverde has been very impressive.

really? I came in expecting a loss so this one hurt very little. In fact, I don't think I got stressed out about one thing tonight. Maybe I'm in Nedvana and don't know how I got here?
