Who wouldn't you mind HBP?

Cordero apparently threw low and inside to Lamb last night, the first pitch after Cecil Cooper wanted a closer inspection of his band for foreign substances. Cordero stated, "Sometimes they do that to put something in your mind in a close game, to see whether you can handle a situation like that. But I don't think about that," said Cordero, who added he didn't throw at Lamb, but said if he wanted to hit someone, he "can do it, and I'm going to do it real good."

Not wanting to see anybody hit in the head, what MLB player wouldn't you mind getting a 99-mph fastball HBP? And secondly, does Lamb deserve it considering it was his manager being the bonehead in the first place?

Carlos Zambrano. And no, Lamb personally didn't deserve it, but he's part of the team. If Cooper (the head of the combined team body) made that move, you often see the toe or elbow or arm (as in, Lamb) get hit. It's just the way those things tend to work.

No Lamb didn't deserve it. As for who I wouldn't mind getting hitting Carlos Zambrano, Aramis Ramirez, Ryan Klesko, Eric Byrnes, Andruw Jones, Brandon Phillips, Khalil Greene, Jack Wilson, Carlos Beltran and Jose Reyes to name a few.

Got something against center fielders there trwi? I personally would like to see Cliff Floyd take one in the ribs.
Center fielders? I only have two center fielders on my list, I have three shortstops. It's pretty clear who I have a grudge against.http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/laugh.gif

Edit: I forgot to add David Eckstein to the list so make it four shortstops.http://static.yuku.com//domainskins/bypass/img/smileys/smile.gif

Carlos Zambrano. He is just a buthead.

Ryan Klesko. I got pretty sick of him jawing at the umpires in that series and thought he should have been thrown out of the game at least once.

I blame Wang.

Bonds, over and over again. While still in the 740s though. and then over and over again some more.

Ribs, knee, backne, wrist... don't matter.

RoBonds has too much protection that it wouldn't matter.

Carlos Zambrano. Multiple times.

I don't think I've ever hated a sports figure more than that guy. I even have a more favorable opinion of Brian Urlacher, which is pretty hard to do.

Clemens all the way, and any other AL pitcher who chucks balls at guys and can hide behind the stupid DH rule, or relievers who never have to bat and risk getting hit.

I otherwise generally think intentionally hitting guys is dumb, because it's usually just stupid retribution for their pitcher hitting your guy, so you arbitrarily pick someone to peg. Now, if they wear a ton of body armor and lean over the plate. then plunk 'em.

Great idea mothership--I'd line up all the AL pitchers, you know, the wusses that don't bat because they're a bunch of pu... Well, I'd set the pitching machine for, say 115 mph, and let it rip. It could be in between innings, like the sausage race, only way better. Bring back a little of the Roman Circus I say. At least the game would count for something real. And I'd start with a guy like Clemens who thinks he's tough and hides behind his teammates.

wow, that's kinda cruel.

Zambrano and ARam probably "deserve" to be hit the most, just because of the way they express themselves in big moments. Derek Jeter probably could use it, too. Never liked him.

Don't understand the Cabrera (Miguel?) punk thing.

I have to say that I am surprised that Zambrano hasn't been plunked already.

As a side note, did anybody notice the glare Fielder gave Big "Z" when he spun off the mound?

I blame Wang.

Logan, I think what has prevented Cra-Z from being beaned is that the retribution would almost certainly be your SP getting drilled, which obviously no one wants. That's just my 2 cents, though

On a related note, I'm sure I was not the only one surprised that Braun did not get plunked after he pulled a Barry Bonds and watched his home run on Wednesday's game. The FSN broadcast showed him walking after he hit it, and then showed him having a conversation with the Astros catcher prior to his next at-bat. Bill and Brian speculated that Braun was apologizing for not running out his home run earlier.

Tony LaRussa.... every time he pops out of the dugout to whine about something, I wish whomever is on the mound would just drill him.

See if I can get this too work....

Anyone who poses for his picture like this - I want hit with a fastball.
