Twins acquire Delmon Young for Garza

I like this deal for both teams. Each team took a surplus and filled a need. This is a pretty huge trade... Don't usually see something like this for top young players outside of video games.

I updated the first post to reflect that Rincon has been removed from the trade and Minor-league RHP Eduardo Morlan is now included, presumably because of concerns about the health of Rincon's elbow.

This is likely the first of many 'big' trades we'll see surrounding the Winter Meetings. I know some GMs have flat-out come out & said they expect the trade market to be hot-hot-hot this year, since the FA class is not too sexy.

Wow, Morlan looks like a great prospect....99 k's in less than 70 innings as a 21 year old in A+/AA

Great now that Garza is a Devil Ray, do I keep him in my keeper league? We keep 8 to 10 players.

The fact that Young was available make me wonder if the Brewers couldn't have gotten him instead.

The Rays were looking for starting pitching in return,and the Brewers do have a bit of a surplus.

It will make me cry a bit next year to possibly see Gross manning LF for the Brewers instead of Young
