Can Brewerfan.net arrange a Rickie Weeks interview?

Id love to hear what he has been working on this offseason, where he thinks he made improvements and where he thinks he still needs to improve.

Honestly, you guys do the good questions, I just want to read it.

Seconded. I think Rickie has the chance to put up MVP-caliber offensive numbers next year. Seriously, our offense is ridiculous - two legit 30-30 guys, two serious 40+ HR guys.... I'm so excited!

I'll never forget the behind-the-back flip to JJ he made back up the middle in 2005. Or was it 2006? Apparently I'll forget a portion of the details.

Weeks is the player I am most looking forward to watching this upcoming season. I would love to hear what he has been working on.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

Since we're discussing ideas for the site....http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I have to admit, I wondered about whether a guy like Damian Miller (if he does, in fact, retire) would be interested in writing a blog or a weekly column for BF.net. It would be interesting to get his analysis since he is actually a Brewers fan as well as a former player, and he knows everyone on the current squad.

Thats an interesting idea Keg. It would be great to have that, but I have no idea how the bf.net leaders would get him to do something like that. Out of curiousity, how does brewerfan get interviews and such with players and coaches? Do we have someone who has contacts in the bigs?

If the play you're sort of remembering was vs. the Marlins, it was in 2005. We were at that game and it was very pretty to watch.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

That's the one. I hadn't dropped my jaw like that since watching Roberto Alomar. Mmmmm... Roberto Alomar defense...

Ah yes a Rickie Weeks interview. It will give me the chance to count the numerous "you know's" which he seemingly includes in every sentence of his replies.

depending on how long the interview is.... this could be the start of a new drinking game

I wouldn't hold my breath for a Weeks interview. However, next season or perhaps during Spring Training, I may be able to get us another player interview.

While we are a pretty well respected site, we are not given full media access for interviews, etc. We do try from time to time to extend our privileges with the team but since for equality's sake the organization would have to recognize other fan sites along with us, I believe our access has hit it's full potential.

If you have a Minor League player you would like to hear from I'd be happy to attempt something for us. Basically, think below the AAA level.

Brewerfan did however, get a meet and greet with Rickie Weeks when he was first signed. I believe Brian could tell the story about that one.

-I used to have a neat-o signature, but it got erased.

Isn't Salome suspended through like May? I don't know if that would have any impact on him wanting to talk to anyone or not.

The message board does have a connection to him through his old high school coach.

I have always been a Rickie Weeks supporter and would love to see what he can put together with a full healthy season. Our offense has the possibility of being one of the Brewers best's. With a guy like Rickie setting the table for role players like Billy, JJ, and Corey, and also the studs like Prince and Braun i believe this could be one special offense.

To the thread title's question, can you go through his agent? Why would you have to go through the club exclusively? If you don't ask him questions about the team's management or player usage, what would be the problem? I guess the worst case scenario is to be told 'no', or, 'he's too busy.'
