  1. Not like that's ever happened - cough, (Ewing), cough.
  2. (Homer voice) Mmmmm, cheeeese!! (/Homer voice) BTW, as far as the we stuff, I picked up the boys coats, organized the youngest's toys and med equipment, then sat down and promptly fell asleep (<20 seconds).
  3. In a single stage thrower, the same auger picks up the snow and throws (or attempts to) the snow. A two stage uses a separate auger each for pickup and throwing.
  4. I have been lately. Eventually she'll figure it out that my GAS factor for our "group" activities is hovering at zero. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. She must be my wife's long lost sister. Sayeth she: "We need to clean the house before the nurse gets here tomorrow." I spent 4+ hours behind a snowthrower (our drive plus a couple of neighbors whose machines died recently). She spent 4+ hours watching tv and playing solitaire on the pc. She is now out shopping. This is not an isolated incident.
  6. Ugh, could be ugly. As always, thank you OWBC!!
  7. Second only to Washington, DC. Ba-dum, bum. Remember to tip your waitresses.
  8. Thinking out loud here, but I wonder if a water-proofing spray for shoes would work here.
  9. The following should be in blue. Congratulations to the BADgers, who will play Castle Rock Community College - SE campus in the Little Debbie's Nut Bar Bowl on Dec. 28 in Minot, ND. So far the line is Fighting Sparrows by 4.5.
  10. FWIW, another woot off!!!
  11. Using these numbers: Suppan for Zito and $4mil this year, $10mil in 2011, 11 in 2012, 12 in 2013, and 3.5 in 14 for the buyout. I'm almost tempted to put that in blue, but there's not a lot of pitching out there. So feel free to pile on me for that one, I'll take no offense.
  12. Tickled to help, valpo. We are the throbbing brain of bf.net.
  13. Try Bartz's or Halloween Express (like the big pumpkin at State Fair Park. There's probably some temp costume stores in the malls, too. EDIT: I almost forgot - American Science and Surplus on Oklahoma might have something like that.
  14. So it was the Buffalo Wild Wings and Weck which was Wong's Wok way back when? (runs away in shame)
  15. I was curious, too, so I looked it up. It was originally Buffalo Wild Wings & Weck. Weck is a sandwich popular in the Buffalo area. Link
  16. Groan - but a darn good one, bjkrautk!! Back on target. I'm really hoping that this hire is going to turn the corner for Brewers pitching, not just at the major league level but all the way down. Not just fixing mechanics of current pitchers who need it, but also on drafting (yes, I'm looking at you, KP).
  17. Thanks for the quotes, TLB. This is gonna be a fun one to watch if it keeps up, but I have a feeling that the PR machine in Bristol is running overtime to squash this.
  18. He apparently judges looks about as well as talent. (rim shot) What struck me is that this isn't out of the ordinary at The Worldwide Leader. Very disappointing, but not surprising. Nobody's perfect (especially true for me), but when that mentality gets ingrained at that level, something is definitely wrong. This story may grow some legs.
  19. Thanks pretend! An update. Since Hartland South is closed for the week, we don't have to worry about sending them back. The two older ones are pretty much back to normal, albeit still easily tired. The youngest (special needs) woke up this morning without a fever, but we had to supply extra oxygen to his ventilator Monday for the first time in months - I also bumped up the rate last night. But it looks like he'll come through it relatively ok.
  20. Bump. We're getting hit with it at the moment. All three of my boys have it (the youngest is special needs, so we're more than a bit worried). My wife called me earlier to tell me that Hartland South elementary is closed for the rest of the week. Plus I heard on the radio that a few others were closed today. EDIT: Link to JSOnline article
  21. My hope would be for a signing of Sheets, Mulder, and Hudson and hope at least a couple of them stick. Short of that, two the the three mentioned plus a "solid" pitcher (Webb? - I can dream, can't I?). Realistically, signing three injury risks like S, M, & H could be the only hope the Crew has of filling starting spots somewhat affordably. Yes, if they all bomb out it's a lot of moola, but then again if all three stick you have a heckuva rotation.
  22. My wife wants a Wii with the Wii Fit Plus for Christmas. I'm against it because you can hang more clothes on a regular treadmill. Thank you, I'm here all week.
  23. Snow is still a four-letter word.
  24. Having to take patches I'd sewn on to a Cub Scout shirt off and sew them on to a Webelos shirt
