    At the T-Rats game tonight. Williams's FB was operating at 90-92 in the first inning by the stadium gun (92 was the most common velo in frame 1)

    You know, this is actually a really good target (that I hadn't thought of). He also played 5 seasons with LAA while Roenicke was a coach there. I think the Sawx would definitely consider shipping out a 32-yo almost-all-bat-1B still owed $16MM for next season... the final season of his current contract.

    His secondary pitches will never develop, and 6'3"/205 is a horrible pitcher's build. Bullpen arm at best.

    This concept of "Scooter haters", as best I can tell, really isn't true. SoupTown, I know you're not the only poster to feel this way, but I'd ask if anyone can provide a good example of posters out to "prove Scooter is no good." No good. Not just that he struggles against LHPs. I think Gennett's performance speaks for itself at this point, both in terms of his strengths & his weaknesses.

    Pretty clear subtext from MLB. If the hit had been on a different player from Braun, I think you'd have seen a stiff penalty.

    To me, it's pretty clear that you want experts on the MLB rulebook analyzing every single video replay. Even if the rulebook never comes into play, you don't want to leave that open to chance.

    Suárez... there are no words at this point. Imo it should be a lifetime international ban handed down from FIFA... but it'll be interesting to see how they mete out punishment for both his country & club play.
