    Intriguing thought. Not sure I'd do it, but I know I wouldn't be mad if they did. And it's not crazy. Adames is worth at least a top 100 plus another guy. Burnes is worth the rest. Edit: Adames--Lux/Pepiot Burnes-Cartaya/Miller + If the Brewers made either of those trades individually I'd be fine it. I wouldn't take anything less.

    I don't believe this at all. Edit to clarify: I believe the defense matters but I believe a catcher of Yadi's quality makes a huge difference.

    Yeah, there's no way they're not adding a catcher with ML experience.

    Mets acquire Brooks Raley. That's a guy that would've fit like a glove into our bullpen. 1 year/$5MM with a team option for 24. Would've been a great get. Sigh.

    Yeah, I personally think it's going to become obvious how valuable Yadi was when their pitching staff plummets back to earth.

    Yeah, I don't hate the idea. Good backup RHH 1B, obviously as well as 2b and 3b. At the right price I'd like it.

    Who has been signed that you would want at the contract they signed? Not sure I can think of anyone honestly. Maybe a reliever or two. Certainly not Contreras.

    Couple thoughts: -Yeah, signing Bell and trading Rowdy doesn't make much sense to me either. If Rowdy had big trade value, sure, but he doesn't. -I would not have been happy if the Brewers signed Bell to this deal without regard to Tellez. 2/33 would be fine, but the opt-out is a killer. He has a great season (great) and then leaves (not great). Not a huge fan of one year deals if avoidable. Not to mention the fact that if he stinks or gets hurt you get to pay him again. I Hate player options.

    I would make a massive bet that next year will not be the year. I will be completely shocked if both Burnes and Woodruff are Brewers in 24. Unless you meant this coming season at the trade deadline or something, then I would just be "surprised". All-in is not the way this front office does business.

    Just came to post this. 2.1% chance to jump into the top 6. I can't believe that bit about 3 years in a row (not doubting you, just can't believe that's a rule). Seems rough.

    You're probably right. Doesn't really matter to me if it's Kimbrel, I'd just like to see another somewhat reliable reliever on a short deal in that slot.

    I was shocked to see how low his WAR was other than last year. Someone is going to pay for 2022 production and most likely not get it. Here's hoping it's the Cardinals.

    Woodruff for Arraez & Duran. Take it or leave it Twins. I suspect they'd leave it.

    Sign Vazquez and Chafin please. Would push the budget but not break it I don't think. Use trades to round out the roster (Backup 1B, more bullpen help).
