  1. Good post. To answer your last question, I think this is the last year we have all of Burnes, Woodruff and Hader. In short, despite the obvious problems, I think this is our best shot at a World Series. Hope to be wrong.
  2. Yeah, if I thought he could do that, I'd never deal him for Bell.
  3. Yeah, if I thought he could do that, I'd never deal him for Bell.
  4. Gallo from this year is the same player as Hiura (minus Gallo's excellent defense). Gallo from July 29, 2021 is what we all wish Hiura was. I get why people don't like him for this lineup. I'd just like to try to steal a really really good player while his value is at its lowest.
  5. I'd trade Turang for Bell in an instant. I'm not very high on Turang though, some are. I personally would not deal Kelly for him though.

  7. Bump. I kinda highjacked the Benintendi thread with Gallo talk, so I thought I'd bump this instead. Hoping the Brewers look into Gallo's availability with the Benintendi acquisition for the Yankees.
  8. I'm hoping for the Joey Gallo of a year ago, so no I guess. And he's a plus defender. Especially if you think he can handle CF, which I definitely do. I freely admit I'm a big fan and always have been. Edit: After thinking about it more, I bet he goes for more than we think, if they even trade him. He was an excellent player as recently as 1 year ago.
  9. Really, really doesn't seem like a Stearns guy with his inability to play the field.
  10. This could work out great for the Brewers. Go get Gallo for cheap (prospect-wise). I have much more faith in Gallo's ability to play CF than I do Benintendi's.
  11. NVM. Got my convos mixed up.
  12. Based on the trade value site (I know it's not perfect), you'd be looking at Wiemer, Frelick, Turang, Mitchell and a couple more flyers.
  13. Kimbrel got a pretty good haul. Twice. That's the best comp for what a Hader trade may look like this offseason (I see it as zero chance they deal him next week). He had 1 year of arbitration left when dealt to Boston and fetched 4 prospects including Manuel Margot. I'm not sure how highly-ranked those 4 guys were at the time, but I recall that it seemed like a good haul for Kimbrel at the time.
  14. Looks like rounds 17 thru 19 will all be tough signs. Let me be the first to say I just hope we sign one of them.
  15. Man, we've got some real experts here. Hopefully Stearns is reading so he can replace his scouting director with some schlub from the internet.
  16. 1. Jackson Chourio 2. Joey Wiemer 3. Sal Frelick 4. Antoine Kelly 5. Jefferson Quero 6.. Tyler Black 7. Garrett Mitchell 8. Hedbert Perez 9. Felix Valerio 10. Carlos Rodriguez (Pitcher) 11. Ethan Small 12. Brice Turang 13. Mario Feliciano 14. Abner Uribe 15. Eduardo Garcia 16. Hendry Mendez 17. Cam Robinson 18. Cam Devanney 19. Stiven Cruz 20. Russell Smith 21. Justin Jarvis 22. Victor Castaneda 23. Luis Lara 24. Brandon Knarr 25. Tristan Peters 26. Noah Campbell 27. Jakson Reetz 28. Joe Gray Jr. 29. Freddy Zamora 30, Carlos Rodriguez (outfielder)
  17. Payroll with what's already committed plus all arb-eligible players is going to be around $130,000,000 depending on what happens the rest of the season. That number is for 19 players. There is no chance they can keep everyone. Somebody significant (and probably multiple somebodies) is going to have to go.
  18. No thanks on Mullins. Cost would be too high for a guy who's only done it once. Gimme Laureano at a much lower price. Great defender. Potential in the bat. Honestly though, I'd take anyone just to get Cain off my TV. Yeesh.
  19. I'll be very surprised if all 7 of the guys mentioned in this thread are Brewers next opening day. Woodruff being dealt wouldn't surprise me either as he's the most expensive and has the least control. I would be very OK with dealing him for the right package in an effort to extend the window past '24 when we lose Burnes, which I feel is completely inevitable.
  20. I would've been very open to trading prospects for a bat. Now, obviously, I have no idea what was on the table so I'm not really mad about it. And I think that possibility is still strong until the trade deadline. I trust the guy in charge 100% to do the right thing overall.
  21. Dammit. That sucks. And it really sucks if the fertility stuff is accurate.
  22. I'd go C+/B-. I was fairly underwhelmed. I imagine there will be additions during the season though. Also not sure why we'd need to address 3B. We already have a very good young 3B. 1B, I agree that we need some help there.
  23. Man, that Woodruff HR. I was at the game. My wife and I smoked at the time. Middle of the 3rd, I said, let's grab a quick smoke, Woodruff is up first, we won't miss anything and we can get back by the time Cain is up. What an idiot I am. I heard it, so I guess that's something. smh.
