  1. I want him to dominate AAA pitching in his 3rd year there. A sub .700 ops is hardly "nothing left to prove" territory.

  5. I want Durham in game 4, Weeks vs Harden could get ugly. Maybe even start Counsell at 3rd that game too.
  6. Man I love Hermida. I think I'm the only person in the world that didn't think the cubs were as good as they were leading people to believe. I'm not impressed.
  7. Why end it now? Cubs pen is shaky enough now, I'd love to see a 20 inning game
  8. Blows my mind to see big leaguers sliding into first..the tie goes to the runner rule should be changed to "if it's even close you deserve to be out" when they slide into first. Another 30+ pitch outing for Marmol http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Lets play 11! Keep em coming
  9. I'd be all over this, start a couple days a week for cameron and give hart and braun their rare days off. Giles, Durham, Kapler, Counsell is a sweet bench for pinch hitting, resting guys and insurance for injuries
  10. People always talk about the money "coming off the books." Yeah, we could afford to to pay one if not both of them a lot of money NEXT year. The problem comes in years 2,3,4,5 of any potential contract when EVERYONE else is starting to get more expensive. On the topic, I agree that it would totally depend on them getting an offer they really like, because it's not like they are in a situation where they have to move him. The question to me is, will teams even make offers unless we put it out there that he's avalable for the right price? Will we put it out there that he's available for the right price? Brewcrew08, your signature is hilarious and classic Ueck
  11. It does worry me a little bit considering his poor performace in the play-offs last year. The most logical reason for that is that he wore down, in my opinion. I do agree that pitch count is more important than innings pitched, but I don't think that makes innings pitched irrelevant. His pitch counts have been fine, and it does seem like he knows how to pace himself through 100-110 pitches. But still, those pitches in the 9th are the most taxing because your body (not just your arm but your legs too) is fatigued. I'm just worried about Yost getting carried away with his shiny new toy, I want some gas left in the tank for October so if we have chances where we're up comfortably I'd gladly go to the pen even if he CAN go deeper. Close games are another story but if were up 5+ I see no point in him pitching the 8th and 9th unless the pen is really hurting at the time.
  12. Zach Grienke in MVP 05. He threw some goofy slow curve, like 50 mph. I'd know it was coming and not be able to hit it
  13. But how long will he stay retired? I wonder if he's already getting the itch?
  14. This is nuts. I thought I saw somewhere that Ronaldinho is going to AC Milan, is that true? What's up with Barca
  15. Ironically, I just posted in the trading with Baltimore thread that I get the feeling that the Brewers value Escobar more than anyone. I'd agree with that top 10 for the most part. Maybe swap Salome and Green. Left handed bat, weaker organizational depth where he can play, Canadian.
  16. I get the feeling the Brewers value Escobar as much as anyone they have. I'd love to have Roberts but I can't see DM giving up Escobar, Weeks AND pitching prospects.
  17. They could play on the moon for all I care. As long as it's still in HD I guess
  18. If he's going to pitch anyways why not want him to start the game like he's used to doing and has a normal routine for. How often has he been used out of a bullpen? Getting prepared to start a game and relive a game are way different.
  19. Which is why I'm opening up to trading him, soon, as in this season. If he can't stick behind the plate his value goes way down and having Lucroy makes it easier for me to decide to move Salome. It's crazy, before this season even I wouldn't think we'd be in a position anytime soon to be trading away a legit catching prospect.
  20. I'd do Weeks and Salome for Roberts and a pitching prospect or a bullpen arm. I really like Lucroy so that makes Salome somewhat expendable to me, and his value should be pretty high right now. Would Salome and Weeks bring us a solid arm back with Roberts or is that asking too much?
  21. Agreed. Like the eye but want to see the stick. I had no idea Inman has such a crazy delivery.
  22. two good ABs for Gamel, two walks. give him something to hit. bah! Gamel made a really nice play on a slow roller in the 2nd inning, he made and off balance throw on time, but it was foul. He looked like a third baseman http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  23. Hall has had some good ABs with some hard hit balls vs righties lately.
  24. I'm only half joking, but, based on that one scoop LaPorta is better than Prince defensively. I used to take a scoop at first for granted but not anymore with the defensive circus that is Prince Fielder.
