  1. Aaron Judge scratched from the Yanks lineup. He would classify as a “BIG” piece as that one podcast rumor last week noted.
  2. Like corner OF? Milwaukee is 12th in the NL in Wins above Average from OF. While they are last at 1B and 13th for 3B, there are stark contrasts between the starters at those positions at the beginning of the year (Hiura, Shaw) and the current starters (Tellez: 0.2 WAR in 12 games, Urias: 1.4 WAR). Oh Gods of Baseball, I don't ask for much....only a win here or there during the ninth inning of one inning games. But here... here I ask of the your Grace. Your Grace to get our MVP back to form! The Baseball Gods have handcuffed small market teams to a point that we can not function in this game with failed big contracts. All of baseball would have done what we did with Yelich. Please have mercy on us and give us back our Yelich. I, nay...we.....ask this of you. In your names we pray.
  3. Matt Arnold is our GM. Not Strearns.
  4. Can we please just go and get Eduardo Escobar? Get it done M. Arnold.
  5. I would be open to trading Turang. Turang, Huira For Mancini, M. Franco, Rylan Brannon, and minor league LHP Zach Lother.
  6. You beat me to it Eye Black. Our June schedule is basically the Reds, Pirates, Rockies, and Diamondbacks. The Crew is going to own June!
  7. I'm assuming this kid is someone they attempted to sign but the Mets grabbed him instead of us. We must like his skill set so I'm hopeful. Man....what a 6 months for Billy. Crazy. Wish him well.
  8. It's Friday! The weather outside is absolutely gorgeous, and we get to watch (or listen to) the Crew take on the Reds tonight. Got me some Run Wild NA beer from The Athletic Brewing Co. Noice!!!!
  9. Because it’s a position of depth.
  10. Is there any chance that Huira heats up in AAA and the Bigs before the trade deadline and we in turn deal him because some of his limitations? I would be open to trading Garcia to the AL and go with Taylor in RF for the rest of the season.
  11. I hear ya. THanks for letting me vent.
  12. If it were this easy to just "learn a 2nd swing", do you not think there would be more success from major league hitters or just hitters at all levels? This game isn't easy. It never has been. And I hate to break it to a lot of fans, it never will be. Pitchers are throwing harder than ever with nastier stuff. Keston would probably be Babe Ruth if he played decades ago. I get that the game is difficult. I love baseball and have been watching it for 40 years. I completely disagree with this though in that why wouldn't you as a professional not work on a different swing for different situations/pitches to foster the result of having the pitcher go back to throwing you pitches that are more in your wheelhouse? It really is as simple as a change in offensive philosophy. What are your strengths with hitting and what are your weaknesses? The other teams have all the stats on you on what areas of the plate you can't hit the ball. Sooooo, learn another swing that will.....maybe not produce the power or launch angles that your strengths result in...but at a minimum, a swing that will connect with the pitch that the pitchers are now throwing you because they know you can't hit it. Connect with the ball...put it in play and guess what....your stats will begin to change and pitchers will reduce the frequency of throwing you those pitches. It's really that simple.
  13. Okay, I"m not a baseball coach (actually I am, I coach my 7 year old's machine pitch team), but can someone explain to me why professional baseball players only have one swing? I get the fact that they train their bodies and their swing technique's daily to get to a certain point to be able to be a 25%-28% successful batter in the Bigs, but why are hitting coaches and/or the players learning multiple swings? It completely phantoms me. Example: Keston Huira. Learn a 2nd swing to be able to sit back and wait for the outside slider. You know it's coming. You know pitchers aren't going to give you fastballs every single pitch so instead of going up to the plate every at-bat looking to drive a fastball... learn a slider swing so that when you are in a slump due to pitchers not giving you the pitches that YOU want...learn a swing that enables you to sit back and wait for the slider! Imagine that. Guess what's going to happen next....pitchers will stop throwing slider after slider because you're ripping them to the opposite field and get back to throwing you fastballs which you will drive out of the park. Can someone please tell me why this isn't the case?
  14. Pitching and Defense will win you the division and we have the best in the division. This is going to be a fun season boys and girls!
  15. I really don't know why the C word that stems from St. Louis is allowed in this forum. In my house, that word is forbidden and is considered a swear word. No joke. I propose the moderators do the same in this forum. Red birds seems more appropriate.
  16. Twins 2-1 @Cubs 2-1 @Cards 1-2 Cubs 2-1 Pirates 3-0 @Padres 1-2 @Cubs 2-1 Marlins 2-1 Dodgers 1-1 16-10
  17. 1) Brewers 90-72 2) Reds 87-75 3) Red birds 86-76 4) Cubs 79-83 5) Pirates 59-103 MVP: Yelich Cy Young: Corbin Burnes. Breakout: Urias Disappointment: Shaw
  18. Our top 2 are better than the red birds top two. After that.... the SP's are pretty much equal imo. I believe our BP though is what makes us leaps and bounds better than the redbirds.
  19. JBJ will not be our 4th outfielder. He will be the everyday CF. Now, having Cain or Avi as our 4th outfielder is indeed a lot of money for that role. I’m assuming that either Cain or Avi are on the trade block. I would not be surprised if that is e next move. We have several other 4th OF options available that are serviceable.

  21. Agreed. I know it’s a pipe dream but I was really hoping we would stretch him out as a SP. but alas, I know that’s not going to happen.
  22. Not to steer this Hader discussion in a different way, but I wanted to just make a statement. After reviewing all the Hader Padres twitter posts....I was amazed at how many people still view him and think of Hader as a racist. Being a Brewer-fan, it is amazing to how we forget (or dismiss) this past from him. I'm not saying anything about his character or his past....just saying that I view him as an elite pitcher and totally forgot about this component of what potential baggage his has with him. That is all.
  23. Well, unless there are other moving parts to this "need", then the Crew may need to step it up to get those other moving parts moving along.
  24. Either a sign that they are looking to trade Hader or stretch him out for SP. I hope for the latter. or just bolstering their BP and leaving Hader where he is.
  25. As some of you have mentioned, it is likely that SPs will not be getting many innings this year to prevent injuries. This would be the perfect time and opportunity for the Brewers to stretch Hader out to be a SP. we have Williams, Peralta, Topa, Rassy to take over as the closer and later innings guys. Imagine Hader getting 5-6 innings! With his salary getting higher and higher by the year, having him become a starter would justify the increase in salary. Having Woodtuff, Burnes, and Hader as your 1-3. Yes please. Come on Brewers... make this happen.
