  1. 1- See box score 2- Immediately think of the reaction going on at BF.net 3- Contemplate who you'd expect to see jumping at the opportunity to post that the sky is falling 4- Go to BF.net to see it confirmed 5- Laugh 6- Cry 7- Remind yourself it's just spring training 8- Cry some more 9- Look for the latest Cobb rumors 10- Pray that Stearns has things under control This is one of the best posts I’ve seen in this forum
  2. How did Woodruff look his first 5 MLB starts? Who cares what he looks like in ST, he's working on things. Really? Totally unnecessary. To answer you brewtank, he’s gotten lit up. He has not earned a spot over those two up to this point. I don’t see Woodruff making the rotation as it stands today. Thank you Rollie. This was the type of feedback I was looking for.
  3. How has Woodruff looked this spring? Has he earned a spot over Suter and Miley?
  4. With more and more pitchers getting injured during ST, my fear is that the Crew will end up losing out on these pitchers such as Cobb, Archer, Arrieta due to new teams jumping into the mix out of desperation. Get something donbefore this happens!e
  5. Tanking isn’t really the issue more so than teams being more willing to go into rebuild.

  7. Gotta say, the thing I’m most excited about this year is to be able to watch Yelich. His swing is a thing of beauty and something we haven’t seen here in Milwaukee (besides Braun) in a very long time. He is a legit stud and he’s ours. Consider me drooling.
  8. Yelich Braun Shaw Cain Thames Arcia Pina Pitcher Villar
  9. I feel some of you are trying to talk yourselves out of Arrieta to better prepare you for when he doesn’t sign with us. Simple fact is that the Brewers know what their financial abilities are better than we do and if they feel they can afford an Arrieta, then heck yah! I’d totally rather have him over Cobb. Money and years are factored into my statement. Arrieta would make our team better than Cobb. Now, I do agree with you all that Cobb would be a great addition to our rotation along with a Salazar/Jake O/Archer addition. This is no doubt the better route to go financially, but I’m still holding out hope that we get Arrieta. He is the type of pitcher who could go 7-8 innings every single outting. That helps our BP. Either way, I’m excited to see how this all plays out
  10. Speculation here, but Ken Rosenthal says that Jake O could go to the Darvish runner-up. I’m thinking it’s going to be the Brewers. If we can get Jake O and Colome, I’d be ecstatic. Then go get an Arrieta or Cobb. Done!!
  11. HH19, you are summoned
  12. Man, this is all very exciting. If I’m Stearns, I’m doing a deal like this for sure with one caveat. I’m keeping Phillips and TB would need a different ask. Phillips is thee perfect 4th OF this club will need during the season, especially with Braun’s health. Add in that Phillips may be the heart of the clubhouse. I’m not removing the heart
  13. Love it! Matching the Cubs, heck yah! The Crew obviously knows their financial capabilities better than Ido so for them to feel cinfident throwing out a matching “pricey” offer is flat out awesome! I doubt they would do so if they felt that it would cripple them.
  14. I respectfully disagree. Darvish is not a Suppan/Lohan/Garza type of signing. He is a legit TOR signing. We have an asset in Santana to be able to obtain a legit #2/TOR starter in Salazar. We already took a hit with our prospects in the Yelich trade. We, of all teams can not afford to overuse our assets/prospects. We have the money...especially with the $50 million from tv contact to be able to afford a bull-landing TOR signing in Darvish. Spend the money. Save the prospects. We have a crazy amount of youth on this squad to be able to contend for several years. The time to spend on someone like this is now.
  15. Woke up this morning, drinking my coffee, and feeling good. Why? Because it’s Tuesday. Welcome home HH19! In all due seriousness though. This Darvish timeline is really starting to frustrate me. If the reports are true that he’s waiting in LA to clear up money, he has to realize that teams can’t do so until the big fish leaves the pond...and he’s the big fish. Catch 22 situation for sure, but geez...get a move on Darvish! The Crew still has moves to make!!!
  16. I thought it was a 1st. If it is a 4th, that’s a diff ballgame for sure.
  17. Right, but we already lost a draft pick on Cain. Losing another one for Lynn or Cobb may be difficult
  18. Oh, and I’ll add a bold prediction. IF we get Arrrieta, he’ll be the 2nd Brewer to notch a No-No.
  19. If we can get Archer via trade, then Cobb would be my get. If Salazar is the trade we get, then Darvish or Arrieta are my go-tos.
  20. My cell phone is at 88% data for the month and my workplace doesn’t have WiFi(start of new month is 2/1) With that said, I’m thinking something is going to go down in the coming days with Yu Darvish. This is all speculation by the way and by jo means inside info. Thinking Yu May have reconsidered Cubs offer a bit after the Crews recent deals, but in the end, I think Darvish signs with he scrubs. I do think there is at least a 50% chance of Arrieta. That and a trade for Salazar and we’re cooking. I’m going to be relying on Brewerfan.net this week for my Crew news for at least I’m able to check the internet while at work from time to time. Dream scenario: Trade Santana to Cleveland for any of the fore mentioned options. Sign Arrieta 5/100 Sign walker 2/22 We need an 8th inning stud too. I’m not sure how we can address that and what options are out there. If getting an 8th inning stud somehow means not signing Walker, I’m ok rolling with Villar/Sogard/Perez.
  21. Why is the Cain contract being talked about in the Yellich thread?
  22. Plus, he’s the ideal clubhouse guy. Do not under-estimate how important our clubhouse chemistry was to our success last year, and Phillips was/is a very key cog to that chemistry.
  23. I don’t know much about Salazar. Is he a solid #2 type pitcher, or does he have a higher ceiling than that?
  24. Yelich Braun Shaw Yes please.
