  1. The pandemic is still going on. There's no guarantee fans are even going to be able to get into the stadium for awhile. I don't think anyone is "making up" anything. The Brewers are far from the only MLB team that has failed to attack the off-season. Attack the off-season and filling the roster are two completely different things. They haven’t done anything other than Robertson. Nothing. I’m not asking for an attack... just some justifiable roster moves that will improve our offense. We finally have a pitching rotation that doesn’t cost jack squat. We are going to waste this opportunity by sending out an offenn N se that will have a hard time averaging 3.25 runs per game. Get ready for a lot of 4-2, 3-0 ballgames.
  2. Please please please... I need something! Just a little nugget from someone indicating that something is on the near horizon. I need a rumor/insider-info fix. Please please please.
  3. Players that I’m Optimistic with having a rebound year: Yelich Huira Houser Cain
  4. I just don’t have faith in our offense. I know I’m not alone. I am pessimistic that Narvaez can bounce back. I am pessimistic that we have anything close to that of San Diego, Wash, STL, Dodgers, Braves, Phillies, Miami, Mets. Right there are 8 teams that arguably will have better records than the Brewers. I’m pessimistic that we are a middling .500 team that will be too good to get a good draft pick and too bad to get into the playoffs. We are basically the Bucks of the 2000’s.
  5. You know something we don’t? I hope so!!!
  6. But it’s the red birds. Such a quiet off-season, especially for the NL Central. and of course it’s the red birds that pull this out of their hats. Crap! I’m so sports depressed now.
  7. Okay. My blood is pumping at warp speed now. I really don't care if whatever your post is in relation to, it's giving me some fun hope that something big is coming our way....hopefully soon. If only for a brief moment in time....i'll take it! Oh boy!!!
  8. Any pitcher could blow out their arm at any point. Any position player could tear their ACL at any point. It's a sport, and there is always an injury risk. Every GM knows that. Why in the world would Hader be at a higher risk of blowing out his arm than any other pitcher in MLB? The Brewers have always been very careful concerning his usage. He came up as a starter in the minors, so it isn't like he is foreign to pitching a higher amount of innings. I'm sorry, but the idea of "his value is lessened because he's an injury risk" just doesn't hold any weight. If Hader's value is subtracted due to that reason, so is that of every other pitcher in the league. Yes, but Hader just isn't "any" pitcher for us right now. he is an extremely high asset that could change the course of our future. Why risk that if we aren't going to keep him long term anyways.
  9. I guess my answer to this would that we could utilize the talent now for this year....example, I'm assuming (yes assuming) that they would be looking for some type of 1B/3B talent in return. We could use that in our offensive-limited team right away. I agree with you that in the grand scheme of things, that if Hader isn't traded before the season, that it's not the World's Ending, and that he still have value come the trade deadline. My thinking though is that you're playing with fire though. He's one inning away from throwing out his elbow and he loses all trade value. I don't like playing with fire when we have an incredible asset to support our future.
  10. We are not winning the World Series this year and I'm pretty sure our front office deep down knows this. They also know that we have a good enough team to get to the playoffs for the 4th straight year. With the NL Central shaping up to be had for the taking....I'm extremely hopeful that DS and MA agree that trading Hader right now is in the best interest to the organization. Our BP will obviously not be as good without Hader, but we will still have a pretty wicked good BP. With teams like the Mets, NYY, Dodgers, Astros, Blue Jays and even Padres...still looking for elite BP arms, Hader will/could put each one of those teams in immediate World Series Champions category. I say let the bidding begin and I'm nearly certain that Hader will be traded in the coming days/weeks (no insider info). If Hader doesn't get traded, it will be a major blunder in my opinion on this front office not to see the grander picture. Yes....the asking price is "overwhelming" and it should be. But...in the end....MA and DS better take the best/highest offer presented to them and run with it. Let the bidding commence!
  11. With the rumors of us looking at multiple OF's, does anyone here feel that there may be some legitimacy to us potentially trading Cain and his contract along with Hader?
  12. Put me in the camp for Kiriloff
  13. I really liked what I saw out of David Phelps the other day. He could be a big part of a World Series BP!
  14. 60 games! Every game is going to be... every pitch matters...buckle up cuz this is going to be epic. We get to watch the Brewers! We get to watch our new studs: Garcia, Narveaz, and cheer on players like Peralta and a Burnes. Both of them are going to be stars. Yelich!!!
  15. With the way Burnes is throwing the ball right now, it’s going to be hard not to allow him to break camp with the big league team.
  16. I couldn’t have said it better. This. This. this. Lindblom tough needs a spot.
  17. With no spot for Corbin Burnes breaking camp in the rotation this spring, would Corbin be a viable trade candidate if he continues to dominate? Would the Crew include Burnes in a deal for Arenado? Burnes/Turang/D. Williams for Arenado and some cash
  18. Cubs- 90 Brewers-88 Reds- 85 Red birds- 84 Pirates- 58
  19. What would need to trade in order for something like this to come to fruition?
  20. The Reds are going for it. Cheers to them but the Central is going to be another blood bath this year.
  21. I’m guessing his arbitration hearing is a factor in many of the decisions for the Crew. Once that concludes I believe the trade talks will ramp up again.
  22. I like the way you think Mattyo
  23. Could use any...and I mean any..insider nuggets right about now calming the storm inside me that there is indeed a significant move in our near future that will make this years squad legit.
