With Clevinger and Lindor’s names being mentioned in trade discussions, just for giggles, what type of realistic trade would the Crew need to offer to get both? Hader, Huira, Peralta, Arcia, and Ray?
Either I’m drinking the spiked Xmas eggnog or I may be onto something here. To me, all of these moves so far are setting up for something big. It feels exactly like years past when the offseasons would start slow for us and everyone freaks out...only to have 1-2 major announcements come in January. This offseason is gearing up for that as well. I feel Corey Ray, Hader are as good as gone. We are just having to wait for the announcement. I feel it. I feel it in every inch of my bones.
I agree with the recent posters. Hader is at the top of the top. If we are truly re-tooling while staying competitive at the same time, the return for Hader better be a minimum of 2 top 100 prospects and. Major League #2 qualityStarting Pitcher.
I am not a scout and don’t have the resources that most of you have; however watching the very limited clips of Urias’ offensive skill set, I am extremely intrigued with his oppo capabilities at Miller Park/AmFam. With our shortened right field, I could see his Hr numbers rise.
My dream scenario. Brewers definitely have a good shot at winning the division. With that being the optimal goal, that would result in a potential Chicago/STL wild card game resulting in one of them being eliminated after that wild card game. From there, the winner would have to play LA which again...anyone going up against LA at this time is going to be the clear-cut underdog. The Crew would face ATL which is not an ideal match-up either but definitely better odds of advancing against ATL vs. LA. Or... either Chic/STL is out of the playoffs due to WAS being the 1st/2nd wild card team. Either way... The Crew needs to get the Division. How sweet would that be? I'm Lovin' this Crew!
Brent Suter. Not sure I need to say more but I will. This cat has been a pivotal component of our team’s heart since he’s been called up several years ago. He is our identity. All he does is go out and pitch amazing, wicked smart baseball IQ, while keeping everyone in the clubhouse in good spirits. Suter since coming back from his injury has been dominant. So fun to watch and I’m optimistic that his run of success will continue while bringing an with him the fun/energy/passion/heart into the clubhouse. Suter y’all!
Keep in mind y'all, that Cain has notably been playing through injuries this year. There's been ample articles on his ability to play through pain per his growth/advice from Tori Hunter. He's not the same hitter he was last year...some type of pain is lingering in him and affecting his ability to be at his best offiensively. I would not trade him one bit. He's a prime candidate for a bounce back year offensively next year. If anything...we should be putting him on the 10 day IR so that he can have some time to heal up for the stretch run. Let TG get some run. Braun is playing spectacularly...nearing the .300 mark. We are going to need Cain for Sept!
