    Sat in the "AirTran" zone last year when Axford had his twitter promotion for the signed bobbleheads -- you are not kidding about those pretzel buns; I didn't think there was much innovation to be had in the grillable food arena, but boy was I wrong. Yeah pretzel buns are awesome.

    I am pretty disgusted with the handling of young players last year and this year so far. I am not sure which one to blame more. Probably Melvin but the manager wanted a true cleanup guy for this year so I put a lot of the Ramirez contract on him. The Kotsay debacle in the playoffs is unforgivable.

    I don't think anyone was advocating putting Lucroy ahead of Gamel. Gonzalez maybe. No but there were people advocating Gamel #2 which would have let Lucroy move up to #6 against LHP and #7 vs RHP. At the very least get Lucroy out of #8.

    Yeah, but he still has 2 functional ACLs! We will not know that until we see if he has any lateral movement.

    I am not sure that would be enough. Unfortunately my faith in DPR making good choices is gone, done, kaput.

    If Yuni could have played a lick of D the offense wouldn't have bothered me as much.

    Put Green at 1B and I don't think that lineup is to bad other than SS. Not much worse than what we expected anyway.

    Agree with that. He tinkers way to much with the offense. I also think he is terrible at judging non-star level talent. I am not sure I would have signed either to an extension. I would have wanted to see what Melvin did this coming offseason before signing him to an extension.

    I am not sure Hairston would be starting for us over Izturis. He barely got any starts for us last year at SS.

    I would give Weeks Wednesday off. No more than one game at a time unless he had some injury. I think he should get a day off at least every other week.

    I have no idea what they see in Dillard. I also have no idea why he is considered anything but a righty specialist.

    Peralta isn't good enough to pitch in the majors obviously.

    Well at least he didn't get hit hard. Too bad we don't have any decent pitchers in AAA to call up and start for us.

    I agree Hawing. That achilles gets worse and we are sunk. We are hanging on by a thread right now, or an achilles I guess.

    DPR just does a really bad job of judging hitting and defensive talent outside of obvious stars.

    Well so much for Taylor Green. Sorry, I know he is just tired and needed a day off.

    This one hurts more than the others. Other than obvious stars like Weeks, Greinke, Gallards and Braun we had the biggest drop off between our starter and backup at SS.

    Don't see how he would now suddenly be afraid of playing a player short after carrying Ishikawa, Dillard and Izturis all year.

    Maybe you are thinking of a different Lee as well because Carlos Lee hasn't hit 30 HR since 2007 and has been steadily declining since then. He is over 35 and does not have a body type I would expect to age well. I think we need to get it out of our heads that 1B is a "power position" or that a guy has to hit at a certain level to be ok at 1B.
