    This one time I was at a Brewers game and a St. Louis fan started an MVP chant while Pujols was batting so I now think all St. Louis fans are jerks.

    As many have said in the past few months, the young players on the Brewers roster were the ones who stepped up down the stretch last year, not the older veterans.

    How about a rotation of Sheets Suppan Bush/McClung/Villy Parra McClung/Bush/Villy where the pitcher is pinch-hit for on the third and 5th days? Not my idea, it is in The Book. Basically another way to optimize a lineup,

    I think the bullpen was built a little better this year with more multi inning pitchers instead of a collection of one-and-dones. I think he has also gotten better, longer starts on a more consistent basis and that will also make pen management better. A bullpen is always going to look better the less often you have to go beyond the top 3-4 guys. Just like some managers that were pointed out last year as being good managers, I think the bullpen can make you look really good or bad as a manager.

    So I am sitting at the computer and my wife says, "hey, Prince Fielder is in an article." I jokingly reply, "for what? Being a big fat guy?" I hear her laugh and say "yup." Turns out he is in an article in Time magazine about obesity. He has been 200 lbs since age 12.

    Our taxes are simple and we do direct deposti for them so we had our check in early May. That direct deposit stuff is sweet.

    I wouldn't wear them, but if they feel comfortable, go ahead. I wear shower sandals everywhere in the summer(that's what I think they are anyway, Adidas slip-ons). They slip on and off quickly. I actually prefer to go barefoot as much as possible as long as I am not stepping on rocks or in anything squishy(poop). Edit: If we are talking about theses Crocs I say no, but that is a personal choice because I think they look goofy. However it looks like they have normal sandal types.

    Yes, I realize "this is a discussion forum." I'm just saying that sometimes the seemingly knee jerk reaction of some to criticize every little potential logic flaw in someone's post (like in the example indicated), is a bit...well, tiresome. Most of the time it is based on how people use the data. Wether they are using it to make an opinion on what to do in the future or to state what a person has done.

    Schroeder is usually pretty good with those things. He rarely takes a homer stance. He is usually pretty fair with the umpires.

    I think that is part of it along with bringing up those same players before letting them mature to become better all around players. Of course this may go in the same file as the "we make to many outs on the bases" theory.

    22 total pitches in the extra innings. Only 3 at bats went more than 2 pitches, Fielder's triple, Cameron's weak ground out, and Counsell's at bat in the bottom of the 11th. 13 pitches for those at bats. 9 for the other 7 batters. Way to make the Twins pitchers work. Our offense is offensive.
