  1. Charlie Reliford, third biggest strike zone.
  2. I am still angry at Koskie for getting caught stealing on the first pitch during a pinch hit by Prince Fielder.
  3. I got this for father's day. I am still trying to figure if my wife is trying to be supportive of mocking my grilling prowess. It had some sort of mayonnaise instead of the red pepper grill sauce.
  4. It's part of that whole "rivalry" and "hate your opposing" team thing. No, it isn't.
  5. That was mentioned the survey. I think that is also a cool idea.
  6. The entire game. I would guess something like what you would get with an archived game on MLB TV.
  7. I am not sure if anybody else participates, but MLB has something called Fans At Bat. They basically send you an E-mail with a link to a short survey about every other month. Anyway, The most recent one was about selling USB or Mini SD cards with the game you just attended on them. They were talking about the All-Star game and HR derby specifically, but I think that would be a pretty cool idea if they would do it for any game.
  8. Prince doesn't seem to be doing as many interviews this year so I see how that could be interpreted as having a bad attitude. Kind of similar, but not similar at all to, Bonds.
  9. Don't forget the fans. It makes some fans happy to see a manager doing something like that.
  10. Only if the Brewers win. I have no problem with winning the wild card since a wild card team makes the WS almost every year. Of course I am not going to hope for a wild card until the division is out of reach.
  11. I was pretty happy to hear Melvin say he didn't really worry about batting order because he thought it didn't really matter much.
  12. I posted this over in the off topic forums, but it should be helpful for everybody here as well. Road map
  13. They didn't with Braun.
  14. You shouldn't, but people still like to take both at what they say.
  15. Now that I think about it, Oshkosh is really a flat city surrounded by lakes, rivers and marsh. They have problems with water during a "regular" heavy rain. This is about the last thing Oshkosh needs. I found this map just to give the out-of-staters some idea of what we are dealing with right now. It doesn't show everything, but most of it. Linked from the Wisconsin DOT website.
  16. I think Hart will never match the best year Fielder will ever put up, but will have a longer more productive career, so in my opinion Fielder has a higher celing, but Hart will have the better overall career. Weeks and Hart are at the top of the list that I most want to see locked up for a few free agent years.
  17. There has been mention of Hart as one of the players they want to lock up long term. I think Melvin mentioned that Hart probably turned it down because he is so close to arbitration.
  18. The OF dimensions are always in the back of my mind when I think about the Lee signing. I always wonder what his other offers are and how much that played into his decision.
  19. I don't like the hill and pole that are in play. Just my opinion, but I think a baseball field should be flat without standing structures in the field of play. I think the short porch is a good idea. It attracts good hitting corner outfielders who lack range.
  20. That's it? Man do they suck. Put me amongst the group that doesn't like cheering for player injuries.
  21. I think he has been nursing a bad left shoulder since spring training. I thought I saw Hardy winch in pain and grab his left shoulder after hitting a HR in a spring training game. Then in the season opener against Chicago he stood in the batter's box and was holding his bat in his right hand and swinging his left arm in circles like his shoulder was bothering him. I was hoping it was my imagination.
  22. Won't make much difference to me. A manager is a manager is a manager in my mind. Some managers might manage closer to any given person's preference, but in the end they all lose games for their teams. Coop got to make a point without any impact on his tactical management of the inning. Yost made a point at the expense of the tactical management of the inning. Just because he might have wanted to IBB Braun doesn't make it a good choice. I see absolutley no reason to ever IBB anybody in the top of the first inning.
  23. You are saying that he isn't exactly a spring chicken. I am saying that he is still pretty young and not even to the point where most players peak.
  24. Weeks is only one year older than Ryan Braun. Weeks will turn 26 this year. Considering most players are thought to peak at 28 and maintain that until their early 30's I think it is reasonable to expect Weeks to get better.
  25. My mom is a nurse in the emergency room in Columbus hospital, but she was out of state this weekend so she missed most of the weather.
