  1. Gallardo almost missed a full year with a knee injury.
  2. On the flip side if the Seahawks don't have 3 passes slip through their hands for interceptions the game is drastically different.
  3. I don't think it likely that all of Braun, Davis and Gomez make it through a full year without injury. They will all miss time and need regular time off. All are right handed so a good backup left handed hitter will probably receive about 400 PA. That's almost a full time player. If we were talking about a full time player and not considering defense, you may be right. We are not. We are talking about a backup who will most likely make most his starts against RHP. Looking at splits just against RHP they are both really similar. Parra actually comes out a little ahead because of his far superior power. Interestingly Parra has a better BA against RHP and I know how much you love BA. Taking defense into account Parra is the far superior option. Parra had better results. Anything beyond that, in my opinion, is just trying to rationalize a personal position. Bottom line Parra is currently the better player who is in the middle of his prime years while Aoki is an aging lesser player.
  4. I love my wife but no loss in inches. I don't think she exercises that much.
  5. My wife exercises but hasn't lost weight but I dieted and lost weight. Of course she may actually be in better shape.
  6. I remember when my mom had a computer with 4GB memory and we thought that was huge. 4GB hard drive not ram. I think that was like 15 years ago.
  7. It takes a lot of excercise to lose weight. Portion control is way more important. Probably the biggest change I made was changing how much I ate at a sitting. I cut out soda, chips, and most desserts. Even meat at stores can have additives. They add salt water to chicken.
  8. Yeah, I wasn't going to go with the minimum 100GB. 500GB at least and probably 1TB since the cost difference is negligible. I just wanted to know if there was anything I should avoid. I think I will go with the WD My Passport Ultra.
  9. I need an external hard drive for school. Is there anything specific I should be looking for? The minimum requirements are 100GB, USB 2, and powered by the USB port. I don't want to break the bank but want something reliable.
  10. Serving sizes are ridiculous. Started to notice it more when I started tracking calories. I thought a lot of the average age people lived to was because of the infant mortality rate.
  11. After being laid off work on 12/22/14 I am now enrolled in MATC. 2014 can suck it.
  12. The best tasting vegetables in the grocery store will be the canned or frozen ones. All the "fresh" vegetables are all picked before they are ripe and ripen on the way to the store. Frozen and canned are picked closer to ripe then processed. Canning at home can be a huge pain. For tomatoes I prefer to cook them down to sauce. Takes a good part if the day but I am usually going to use them for sauce anyway. Either that or make salsa. Love homemade salsa.
  13. Drew wouldn't have been the platoon answer at 2B. He bats left.
  14. I don't think Bonafacio would have required many changes to the roster. Fewer than Drew but both could have really helped around the edges and as injury insurance which this team desperately needs. Of course they still need a pen.
  15. With this and the Bonafacio signing you have to think the Brewers are at the very limit of their payroll.
  16. Anyone could have picked up Cruz about a year later. No one did. That was not a mistake at all.
  17. No, just no. Braun had one of the worst defensive seasons of any player in MLB history at 3B. He was, literally, a historically bad defender. He had to be moved off of 3B. He graded out bad in all defensive metrics. He looked awkward over there. There was no redeeming part of his defensive game at 3B other than a strong arm.
  18. Where was the advice about filling out a resume? I have never had to make one and after 19 years at the same job have no experience at interviewing. In fact I have to say that I have never in my life had a job interview where the interview actually mattered.
  19. Link to a Witrado article. Thanks.
  20. Then give him at least normal rest not games "off" at 1B. I think giving him more full days off from catcher is better long term than having him play almost every game but some at 1B. Definitely not A. My choice would be B.
  21. You don't know who Prince is? Didn't recognize the name. Only know the symbol. Didn't get that far down the list.
  22. I'm not sure if this was supposed to be serious or sarcastic but it made me laugh because I was thinking the same thing. Mostly serious. I quit trying to keep up with new music in the early 2000's. Edit: I am guessing the band name is first because bands don't have sequels.
  23. That happens a lot.
  24. Which are the songs and which are the artists?
  25. That is true but we should not compare how well he hits with other catchers. If we are talking about more than a normal amount of starts for a backup catcher, we should be comparing how well he hits with other 1B options. I am looking at how well he has hit for his entire career including the minors. I don't think we can dismiss how pathetic he was in 2013. For his entire MLB career he has a .291/.360/.651(OBP/SLG/OPS) line. Outside of one year he was a less than .700 OPS and frequently less than .600 OPS guy. His overall batting line in the minors was .236/.313/.333/.646. That stinks. He is fine for a backup catcher but you don't move a guy to put him in the lineup. Lucroy's health 5 years from now should not be a concern when you want to win today. He is likely to be paid big money by someone else to play for them.
