  1. I would love for Hall to go back to supersub. I think players need a day off a week and having a player like Hall to fill in was nice last year. I never complained about Hall to CF because I saw no point since the organization was set on it. I think he actually hits better when he does't have time to think to much about where he is going to play.
  2. Are there any websites that will show statistics on managers? I am talking about their general strategies.
  3. Yay, Ned didn't tell Linebrink to walk a guy on 4 straight pitches or the players not to score a run with the bases loaded and one out in the first. Score runs there or don't let them score runs in the 7th and this game never gets to extra innings.
  4. Well there are 2 things we agree on now. I don't like that attitude either, and obviously we both like the Brewers.
  5. Thank you for apologizing. I did feel singled out in this case. I know we completley disagree on wether Yost is a good manager, but I would like to think that even though I disagree with your opinion I have always tried to be respectful of it.
  6. My question is why didn't Bush go out to pitch the next inning? To clarify, pinch running shouldn't have been the issue. Why did he hit if there was no intention of having him pitch the next inning?
  7. 2 wins on the road for the Brewers, 2 wins at home for the Cubs. Advantage Brewers.
  8. From personal experience I would say that you are probably going to miss at least one of those 2 games unles the baby is born before then. You will hav e lots of time to play Halo 3 when you are up at night with the little one.
  9. Let me start by saying that I agree. The problem is who do you put in when there are less than 2 outs in the 9th. Very few managers will trot out their closers before that. If Cordero is going bad, who do you put out there? Closers are not generally going to get yanked until things are to far gone to matter. Outside of Turnbow and Cordero, who do we have that people wouldn't get upset about seeing those guys getting pulled for? Only Shouse and he is a LOOGY. When our top relievers are bad, things get bad in a hurry. They were nearly unstopable in the first half and our bulpen looked great. Now, not so much.
  10. I am sure they will even if we win.
  11. He had 3 straight years where he pitched 216+ innings and made 34 starts. He has had injuries, but none major enough to sugest that at any point he couldn't come out and do that again.
  12. I think it is to much playing Halo 2 in the hotels wth his teammates. This will only get worse next week when Halo 3 comes out.
  13. I would still take 23 starts of Sheets and 11 starts of our 6th pitcher over most of our other pitchers. Like somebody else said, they aren't chronic injuries that would cause concern going forward. They are mostly unrelated freak injuries.
  14. Yeah they probably did save one for every one they lost. The problem is that the bulpen is supposed to save more than they lose, at least that is my opinion.
  15. This is one of those "things even out" cases. I wish some things would stay lopsided.
  16. That looks like our batting lineup from the start of the year before we knew Hart was going to be a stud, Hall was gonna be down, Estrada was less than expected, and Braun was not called up. This was a feeling out stage of the year.
  17. I like Brian. I agree that he sounds much more genuine than Sutton did. Sutton just sounded like he was faking his enthusiasm. I like how BA doesn't talk all the time. He and Bill seem like they get along better than Sutton and Bill did. I like how they both call it as they see it and not as homers. We all know who they are rooting for.
  18. Not surprising since ESPN stopped being clever at least a decade ago.
  19. I have heard people say that the league has adjusted to him. I think he has pitched long enough so if that was the case we would have seen something like this a while ago. He seems to have a little poorer control this year, but on the whole he is still pitching pretty well.
  20. You forgot to add that you don't have to agree with his reasons and just because you don't doesn't mean he was wrong.
  21. I thought we had established long ago that when Mench was playing Hart was hurt. Hall made some great plays, but he was still nowhere near average as a defender.
  22. Not by much. Something had to be done. I am not sure where even Inman would fit in in the future of the Brewers. We have several very young quality arms right now. By the time they are gone we should be able to aquire more through trades or the draft.. Maybe, but I believe that he was injured for at least part of the time in AAA this year. I seem to remember him being on the AAA DL early in May and an elbow injury in Spring Training. All managers cost their teams games. Some more, some less. I don't watch any other managers close enough to know if he is any worse than anybody else. The players like him and we haven't heard many complaints about playing time, beyond Hall saying he wants to help the team win, after Jenkins and Mench basically started Spring Training saying they both should be starters. I will take 23 starts of Sheets and our top fill in over most of the other pitchers in our rotation. Nobody, not even Gallardo, has the stuff Sheets does. Nobody else who takes the mound makes me believe they can go for more than 6 innings. Seets hasn't lately, but when he pitches you believe he can go the distance in any game. Tough to say. More than a few, that's for sure.
  23. I am upset that Ned Yost doesn't give us a good explination on his moves. I mean come on we are paying his salary when we buy tickets. He is answerable to us, the fans.
  24. By the way, how good has Hart been this year. He has a higher BA, OBP, and Slug% than both of the free agent outfielders this year(Lee, Soriano). I would also argue that he plays better defense.
