  1. So true. I've always said that the Brewers insist on saving their last roster spot for a "some guy" type. How else can the Erick Almonte experience be explained rationally? Do they really ignore years of minor league data every year based on a small sample of Spring Training stats? 2013: Blake Lalli (not on Opening Day roster but so close) 2012: Travis Ishikawa (played quite well) 2011: Erick Almonte 2010: Joe Inglett (actually played ok) 2009: Chris Duffy 2008: Joe Dillon
  2. Put Rickie at 1B. Problem solved all around.
  3. Why don't we just put Weeks at 1B?

  5. http://www.foxsportskansascity.com/mlb/kansas-city-royals/story/Royals-shouldnt-mess-with-success----kee?blockID=938231 Looks like he was pretty much a stud as a reliever. Middling results as a starter. He could be the new Mike Gonzalez, only younger, cheaper and better. We needed another lefty in the pen. Thought we might have gotten a little more for Aoki, but there's upside here. We'll see if the Brewers plan to keep him in the pen, or put him back as a starter.
  6. Prince is the perfect utility man for this roster. The only reason you'd want to keep him in AAA and Yuni still on the roster is that you believe Prince can be an everyday player and needs at-bats. That can't possibly be the case, can it?
  7. Yes, it's really all about name recognition at this point in regards to the All-Star Game. We need to rock the vote.
  8. I'd rather keep Yuni (am I really saying this?).
  9. Yes, but only if you are waived and designated for assignment, clear waivers, and then are outright assigned to the minor leagues. In MLB, they mostly have split contracts for situations like this.
  10. And as usual, the JS is always last to the party (the "teeth gnashing" has already long begun, Tom): http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/200101321.html
  11. I'm actually a fan of this signing. Now, get Overbay and let Khris Davis play everyday in the minors. Veteran bench is always a good thing.
  12. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2013/03/red-sox-release-lyle-overbay.html Red Sox released Lyle Overbay. Do we bite?
  13. I got 4 together in Terrace reserved 404. I wont complain.
  14. Sadly I'm not at AJ Bombers anymore. I do look forward to hanging out this time.
  15. Its called speculation. It's fun.
  16. I think he found out that the money he thought might be there isn't there. I'd be thrilled to have Marcum back for one or even two years.
  17. No way I'm dealing Peralta. He has the best upside of any of their "ready" young guys, he's cheap and under team control for a while. This is a huge commodity.
  18. Sounded like Carlos V. wanted to be a starter and this was the main reason why he and Toronto parted ways.
