  1. Hart is 9-15 so far this Spring Training according to BA. Simply on fire. Also Hardy goes yard and it's 4-2. And just as I'm typing this, Casey McGehee hits a grand slam. Make it 6-4 Brewers.
  2. Gamel is the DH today against Australia per TH's blog. That's a good sign. Here's the link.
  3. I leave in 2 weeks and we are going to check out Tempe Diablo stadium for the Angels vs Brewers game. Last year, we also saw the Brewers play the DBacks in Tucson and the Padres in Peoria. The stadium in Peoria is really nice, but the one in Tucson was kind of a dump. I can't wait to get down there though.
  4. Well they haven't won an OT game since like 2006. It's really been an up and down year, but they still have a chance to salvage the season this weekend all be it a small one.
  5. I must have forgotten to send yours. Try now. Sorry.
  6. I can do it until I leave work. I missed the top of the 1st though so I don't have the scoring. Top 1st Kendall - Out Counsell - Out Hart - Single Prince - Out Bottom 1st Gerut - F8 Burke - BB Burke steals 2nd Floyd - BB Brown - Home Run Blanks - Single Macias - 4-6 FC, Macias runs it out to avoid the DP Alfonzo - 4-3 Top 2nd Salome - Double Nixon - 4-3, Salome to 3B Nelson - Single, Salome scores McGehee - F9 Escobar - Out (not sure, somebody came to my cube) Bottom 2nd Denker - Out Cabrera - Out Gerut - F9 Top 3rd - Latos now pitching Kendall - F8 Counsell - Single Hart - Home run - tie game Prince - Double Salome - 6-3, runner does not advance Nixon - BB Nelson - F8 Bottom 3rd Burke - 5-3 Brown - K I'm headed home so somebody feel free to continue the play by play.
  7. http://38pitches.weei.com/general/tape-recorders-are-good-because/ Schilling said if he makes a comeback, the Cubs and Rays would be his 2 choices to come back with. It could be scary if he lands with the Cubs because he can probably put together a 4 ERA over 150 innings if he is fully recovered. I'd of course rather see him in a Rays uniform, but the Cubs have to be licking their chops right now. One writer thinks it's a long shot for the Chicago Sun Times, and the another (from the Tribune) thinks it could happen. I know he had lost a lot of velocity the last time he was pitching in the Majors so he was DL'd for the year, but if he can get that velocity back, the Cubs might have another start to add to their stock pile.
  8. They need to get at least 2 points this weekend against UND just to get home ice in the WCHA tournament. That might be a tall task.
  9. We currently have 15 teams in so I'd like to add one more to make it an even number. PM me if you want the last spot.
  10. If this takes a spot away from somebody like Morlan, who I'm pretty high on, it's discouraging. There's a good chance he could be pitching in Nashville, correct?
  11. Ethier and the Dodgers have come to terms. This might help the Brewers figure things out with Hart. http://sports.espn.go.com...s&source=MLBHeadlines
  12. "I'd much rather have this guy go out and start in the middle (of the rotation) somewhere," said Macha. "I don't know where it's going to be. Who knows? He might be the second starter. "When you get to the all-star break and have three days off and have a chance to rejuggle your guys, that's probably when you need to get whoever's pitching best in that slot. 'I don't think we can do that (put the pressure of being No. 1 at the outset). That's my opinion." Based on that logic, Parra also wouldn't be the opening day starter. That leaves us between Bush, Suppan or Looper. Yuck. Why not use your best starter on Opening Day?
  13. Macha wants to stick with Weeks and Hardy as 1-2 in the order. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/39719417.html
  14. TH seems to be a little more optimistic about Hart not going to arbitration now. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/39721822.html
  15. Well it sounds like Gallardo will not be our Opening Day starter. I don't agree with that at all. All I have to say is, it better not be Jeff Suppan. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/39717602.html
  16. RSS might be the way to go. I'll try that.
  17. I can make the one I created a keeper league. That would be fun. PM me your email if you want in.
  18. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/39712707.html That should be pretty neat.
  19. If Chad Cordero is brought on, and it sounds like the Brewers have interest, that could complicate things even more.
  20. That's not too bad if McClouth continues to put up an 800+ OPS with ok defense in CF.
  21. http://sports.espn.go.com...s&source=MLBHeadlines This might be "buying high" for the Pirates, but I'm not sure the terms of the deal so I won't jump conclusions. I'm not sure how many arby years it buys out either after checking the article. If I had to suspect, it looks like a good deal for the Bucs because of the team option after the 3rd year.
  22. Ludwick and the Cards have come to terms for one year and 3.7 million
  23. After listening to this piece, I remember this guy now from listening to a few Cubs games last year. I'll give him this. He was a lot better to listen to with Santo than Hughes was.
  24. If that is true, that is the best news I've heard since football season ended.
  25. I'm glad they have an away feed for MLB Audio.
