  1. Just correct the topic name please. Geez.
  2. What worries me is this: Now that we have him signed, we could easily say we have our back-up covered, and stop looking for better options, or, every better option that does comes along, and we don't get, just allows the front office to say "but we have Bauers, so no big deal." This guy is a complete waste of a roster space. He had a year here to figure things out, he didn't, so why are we messing around with him? At all?
  3. Saw it today, and it was great! Great acting, believable storyline, just a solid take on a classic.
  4. Seems silly to play him in LF with so many talented defensive options for that position. Literally every outfielder we have is a ton better than Yelich defensively. Frelick, Mitchell, Perkins, Chourio, everyone of them!!!
  5. Gross. I'd like to get to the point where we learn from past mistakes and move on. This guy is trash. I'd much rather an opportunity goes to someone like Clarke or Martinez Jr. than to try to rehash a guy who has never been any good.
  6. Cape Fear - Meh. There was a time when I thought this was a good movie. That time has passed. Goner Cedar Rapids - Funny little flick, worth seeing if you haven't. Keeper Chloe - keeper
  7. It's so gross seeing the same exact teams tied to every big name free agent player. It's deflating.
  8. Why are you in such a hurry to deal Contreras? How many posts have you made recently talking about dealing Contreras? Dude...
  9. Or he wanted to play for a winner as basically stated below: An official close to Hyeseong Kim told reporters on Friday that the Angels ultimately had a higher bid than the Dodgers, but other factors influenced the free agent infielder’s decision. Kim cited the fact that the Dodgers won the World Series this past season and have many star players including Shohei Ohtani on their roster as reasons for choosing the Dodgers over their crosstown rivals. If only the Angels had a player like Ohtani. Expect the 25-year-old to thrive in whatever role the Dodgers choose to deploy him in. Source: KBO in English
  10. Yup, all the talk, but in the end, we all know where he is going.
  11. Wilson?
  12. Nope. We have no guarantees with Quero. I think it would be a bad idea to roll the dice. We have Contreras for a few more years, no need to do anything just yet.
  13. A Complete Unknown Good movie, a must if you are a true fan of Dylan. I consider myself a so-so fan, and I must say, being as familiar with his music as I am, it really enabled me to relate to the movie more than if I only knew his hits. I have some other opinions about the movie, but to share them might cause me to spoil some things for those who haven't seen it, so I will abstain.
  14. Not familiar with this guy, but surprising to see our name tied to a player others might be interested in. The Yankees, Astros, Orioles, Brewers and Twins are among teams interest in Kyle Hart, according to The Athletic’s Katie Woo and Will Sammon. Hart has garnered plenty of interest this offseason as he appears poised to return to the majors following a highly successful stint in Korea where he compiled a sparkling 2.69 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 182/38 K/BB ratio across 157 innings (26 starts). The 32-year-old southpaw rode an uptick in fastball velocity to improved results overseas and is most likely going to get an opportunity somewhere as a back-end rotation option or versatile swingman. He’s an interesting name to watch on the pitching market in the coming weeks. 10h ago Source: The Athletic
  15. So you are saying there's a chance? I'm not getting my hopes up, but we definitely fit that narrative.
  16. Anyone concerned with Lara's height at 5'7"? He could easily actually be 5'6" as I have stood next to him, he is SHORT! Yes, I know, Jose Altuve, etc. etc. etc., but he is an exception. O'Rae is another really short guy who seems to have fallen off the prospect radar.
  17. Awesome info, thanks man! Just 3 adults, so any and everything is on the table!
  18. Casual Sex - Found myself laughing at this movie far more than I expected. Kept it. Casualties of War - Disturbing movie, and if this stuff really happens, shame on the human race. Kept it. Castaway - Slow beginning, but still a good flick. Kept. Closer - Not a good movie, all over the place, just kind of weird. Natalie Portman as a stripper almost worth the keep, but nah... Goner!
  19. Just finalized plans with a couple high school buddies to go to the Brewers/Diamondback series in AZ in April! Anyone been there frequently, or maybe a local to the area with any tips about the stadium? Maybe even things to do in the area while there? Are there any minor league teams in the area that we could attend as well?
  20. Same thing with OF. What do we really know about his OF ability?
  21. I think we need to commit to letting him get regular at bats for at least a solid month before giving up on the kid. Not - playing him for a game, then sitting him for 3 games, then pinch hitting him the next game, then sitting him for 2, then starting him, etc... Regular, daily at bats for at the very least a solid month. Even a month just isn't enough. Look how long it took Chourio to get going. (NO, I am not comparing Black's talent to Chourio)
