I'm on record against including Henderson in any trade involving a 2 month rental like Suarez.

Finding a team to take on Hoskins will just cost us more in prospects. I am against including Henderson in a deal for Suarez. I just hate the idea of including a cost controlled possible top of the rotation pitcher for 2 months of a guy that plays below average defense but will hit some homers. It's a mistake for an organization that refuses to spend.

So then Turang moves to SS this late in the season?
  4. TURBO
Imo, Henderson ALONE is an overpay. Suarez alone isn't going to fix this offense, we would need another BIG bat, and I shudder to think what other prospects might be included. I love and hate this time of year.
  5. TURBO
We don't need either of them...

I just hope the Mariners or Phillies beat the crap out of our offer. This would sadden me deeply.

I'd have rested Contreras today so he is fresh for the Cubs series.

Isn't it possible that Turang moves to SS in 2026, and Durbin moves to 2B? I don't think he is locked into 3B in the future, in fact, I'd bet against it.

Contreras seems so much worse because he has been so much better the other seasons as a Brewer. Players go through this kind of stuff, it isn't uncommon, but I do feel we have been pretty spoiled by the catcher position offensively the past couple of seasons. The fact that he is scuffling is magnified by the production we are used to getting from him.
  10. TURBO
    Curious, why?
  11. TURBO
Didn't Murphy say on record that Contreras wouldn't let Murphy bench him, or something similar to that? Do we even know if the finger is still bothering him?
  12. TURBO
Murphy using his kids in the post game pressers to avoid being asked tough questions is ridiculous. Of course, I don't know if this is on purpose or not, but if it is, just stop it already. Honestly, it's annoying he has those kids there in the first place.

Don't the mudcats know that when they bench all of Payne, Made, and Pena on the same night during trade season, we get nervous? Geez.

This is a good young Marlins team who has been playing great baseball. This shouldn't be that big of a surprise that they are going after us. Did everyone here expect them to just lay down and die? Their season isn't over yet.

    over-use.

BA with yet another over-reaction on Chourio's routine flyball. If he called more games here, he'd realize which balls were flyballs off the bat, and which ones were homers.
  17. TURBO
Which is why NOW is the time to do it...

If you want to get rid of it, I'm a buyer, or have a lot of stuff to trade if that's your thing!
  19. TURBO
Same. These guys aren't young anymore, let them catch a breath between pitches. Geez
  20. TURBO
    Pretty selfish move imo.
  21. TURBO
    Lots of time left.

Tough to trade in the division, plus, I don't want to give up anything to the Cardinals that can come back and bite us the next few seasons.
  24. TURBO
I wouldn't trade Logan Henderson straight up for Josh Smith. Smith isn't a guy that makes our chances of the World Series any better than it is now. Dude is nothing more than a utility guy. Pass.
