  1. More than likely... I once thought Burnes was destined to be a Dodger, but if they sign Yamamoto, I think that will not be happening. Makes sense really, they can throw boatloads of money around, no need to trade their top prospects.
  2. Might also have a lot to do with where they are in the standings, and how good Wilken is in 2024... Out of the playoff hunt, and Wilken is kicking butt in AAA could mean an early promotion. In the playoff hunt and he has been mediocre all season with the bat could mean we go in a different direction to end the season. So many factors will play into what happens with him in 2024 and 2025. I'm putting money on the idea he sees MLB action sometime after the trade deadline, if not sooner if he is raking!
  3. Just admit it man, you are a Dodgers fan. Nothing else makes sense in the way you are defending them, and to a small market fan board to boot. I never got this vibe from you before, but go ahead, come out of that Dodger closet and go get yourself an authentic Ohtani jersey!
  4. This entire situation is just plain gross. I couldn't do it, but I wish I could just wash my hands of MLB and quit following it all together.
  5. Growing up, I don't remember a lot of Brewers games being on TV. My Dad and I listened on the radio the majority of the time. I remember in the 80's, it was an absolute treat if the Brewers were on TV. So much different seeing them, than just hearing Uecker describe the game and action.
  6. If this is true, and I haven't done the math, it's disgusting. lol
  7. Ok, so you are against a salary cap then?
  8. This is beyond gross.
  9. Completely unnecessary comment.
  10. I don't know why the Brewers are fighting having Black at 2B, which is pretty much what he was until last year. If Turang is our SS of the future (a big IF due to his bat) then why not groom Black as our 2B and let Wilken play his natural position at 3B. Why is this becoming so complicated. Black at 2B, Turang at SS, Wilken at 3B and find a 1B for once...
  11. What a clown show. It's too bad every team doesn't just bow out and make him sweat until spring training... I mean, obviously, that isn't going to happen, but these idiot teams stumbling all over themselves to see who will make the biggest mistake is just whacko. Just get it done already so the rest of the market can start to play out. Not even sure why anything hinges on this guy. The amount of money only involves what, 3 teams realistically, why does he have anything to do with a guy like Hoskins signing, or the other free agent pitchers for that matter. Different stratospheres. If the Dodgers do or don't get him, why would that matter on a decision to trade for Burnes? Burnes will require minor league capitol (and a small amount of cash in Dodger money to pay this year's salary), and I'm pretty sure the Dodgers are going to go for 2 stud pitchers anyway. So if they do or don't get him, they will probably still come after Burnes.
  12. But imagine a Turang at SS and IKF at 2B infield on a daily basis... Kind of makes me sick to my stomach to think about.
  13. Doesn't matter who gets him, they will regret it at some point. This is just ridiculous sick money. He has to realize that the team that signs him will be seriously hampered in the future from signing other top free agents, thus, hurting his chances at a World Series Championship. Serves him and the team right.
  14. Signing this guy worries me. Pretty much means we are going to punt an infield position if Adames is traded. The only silver lining is now that CC is gone, there would be no chance of CC falling in love with him and playing him every single day. I REALLY hope this doesn't happen, truly really hope...
  15. I think Wilken is being fast tracked. My bet is that he comes up late 2024, and if not, is on the starting roster in 2025. I have a lot of faith in this kid.
  16. All I know is that I don't want to trade either of them... I do think Wilken is going to push his way onto this roster either at the end of 2024, or surely at the beginning of 2025.
  17. No way do I trade Frelick, but I'd trade Mitchell or Wiemer if the situation was right.
  18. He's just another guy that is equal to taking your cousin to prom. I want nothing to do with IKF.
  19. Which, in all likelihood, takes us out of the running. If we have to fall back with Santana, it could be a lot worse. If the Brewers have even thought about Hoskins, they better get on it soon, if they wait too long thinking they can get Santana after someone else grabs Hoskins, they may be out of luck if the Pirates are chasing him down.
