This is a bit surprising to me.
BAL is as tight as they come, and full of young talent offensively. I would have expected them to spend on starting pitching if they were going to spend money.
Just glad (for now) he didn't end up with the Cubs or Cardinals...
This contract won't end well, we all know that, but I am happy he isn't spending the next 2-3 years tormenting us in the Central.
Lowering the mound would be fine if it makes sense, but lengthening the distance to home plate is a recipe for disaster with injuries It's bad enough now already.
Why not just start one, let him go 3-4 innings, then have the other one get you to the 9th, where a closer comes in.
I see piggy backing the same two guys every 5th day as a pretty interesting thing to try, especially with Ashby and Hall.
Again, you are proposing Polanco to 3B, a new guy at 2B, so that leaves Turang and Ortiz at SS.
You have one too many guys for 3 positions.
No to Polanco, big hard NO!
I refuse to believe (even though I am probably wrong) that the Brewers are entertaining the idea of Frelick as our starting, normal, everyday 3B.
It seems like a really bad idea.
