    agreed 100%!
  2. You live an interesting life man...

    Pizza

Yeah, never reheat in the microwave, I'd eat it cold before I would consider that idea. Actually, I like cold pizza for breakfast...

    Pizza

Yup, when my daughter was still living at home, that was her favorite, so we had it fairly regularly. I liked it a lot too, as did the rest of the family. We used to get groupons and with the groupon, the price was really nice too! lol

Not a fan of Dominos, and I can't tell you why exactly. Every time we get it, it's just meh to me. Papa Johns, same. I like a Papa Murphy's about once a year... More than that, it's also just meh. When we go with chain pizza, it's Pizza Hut 75% of the time, Little Ceasers probably 20%, the rest fill the missing 5%. We have a place about a mile from where I live in Appleton called Luigis that is awesome! Pricey, but really good crusts and sauce flavor. Also owned by an authentic Italian family.
  6. Who though? Other than Justin Turner (who is 36), the free agent 3B market is pretty bad. Many believe that LeMahieu wouldn't be an effective everyday 3B. You are looking at guys like Gyorko, Todd Frazier, Maikel Franco, Tommy LaStella or Marwin Gonzalez. Trade perhaps?
  7. Not that I'm aware of... Maybe just wishful thinking.
  8. If we can get Braun back on a cheap deal to DH with Vogelbomb, then why not spend some real cash on a real 3B?
  9. Last year didn't prove anything, it was sixty games. That is too small of a sample to draw many meaningful conclusions from. That said, in 2020 the Brewers still won the 17th most games despite only having the 23rd highest payroll. In 2019 it was 11th wins/17th payroll, in 2018 it was 5th wins/22nd payroll, in 2017 it was 10th wins/30th payroll, in 2016 it was 22nd wins/30th payroll. The Brewers have finished every season of Stearns & company's tenure ranked higher in wins than they did in payroll. If anything, there's 709 games showing that the Brewers can win despite their payroll limitations. But still no world series...All the justification in the world doesn't change that fact. I get it, winning is better than losing, but just one single time, I'd like to see the Brewers win it all! I mean, you can throw those kind of stats and numbers in our faces all day long, but the bottom line is, we have nothing to really show for it. Someday though...
  10. Britt Ghiroli of The Athletic hears that there were "upwards of 25 teams" at Corey Kluber's free agent showcase on Wednesday morning in Florida. ESPN's Jeff Passan adds that "scouts came away impressed" after watching Kluber throw around 30 pitches from a mound while sitting 88-90 mph with his fastball. The veteran right-hander was limited to one inning in 2020 because of a Grade 2 teres major muscle strain in his throwing shoulder and also logged just 35 2/3 innings in 2019 due to a fractured arm and oblique issue, so he's trying to prove his health in this already-unforgiving market. He figures to get at least a handful of offers given the high level of interest. SOURCE: Britt Ghiroli on Twitter Jan 13, 2021, 11:36 AM ET
  11. Remember, this is the same team that relentlessly sticks with guys even when they are sucky, crappy, and ineffective. It is not a given that a guy like him doesn't get a lot of at bats even if he is terrible.
  12. A rival executive tells MLB.com's Mark Feinsand that he would be "shocked" if Andrew Benintendi is not traded before the end of this weekend. We've seen growing buzz in recent days about a move involving Benintendi, with the Rangers, Astros, and Athletics being floated Tuesday as some of the possible suitors. Miami was known to have serious interest but apparently had trouble lining up a return package to Boston's liking. Benintendi suffered through a miserable, injury-plagued 2020 season and wasn't particularly great in 2019, but he posted a strong .290/.366/.465 batting line over 148 games in 2018 and finished second in the AL Rookie of the Year balloting in 2017 with 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases. The 26-year-old outfielder is under club control through 2022. RELATED: Texas Rangers, Oakland Athletics, Houston Astros SOURCE: Mark Feinsand on Twitter Jan 12, 2021, 8:22 PM ET
  13. Chris McCosky of the Detroit News reports that the Tigers will be among the teams at Corey Kluber's free agent showcase on Wednesday in Florida. It sounds like just about every MLB team will at least send a representative. Detroit is in rebuilding mode, so it's not the most logical fit, though Kluber could be seen as a kind of veteran mentor for the club's young pitching prospects. The 34-year-old former two-time AL Cy Young Award winner made just one appearance for the Rangers in 2020 before going down with a Grade 2 teres major muscle (shoulder) strain. 14. Why is someone with more than 3 offenses allowed to buy a car or even drive? License should be permanently revoked. Agreed, but revoking someone's license for life wouldn't stop them from driving. Someone who gets multiple DUIs doesn't care much for the law to begin with...
  15. Jim Bowden of The Athletic reports the Red Sox have been in “serious trade talks with multiple teams” centered around outfielder Andrew Benintendi. Bowden reports the Red Sox are seeking a prospect package in return, with an emphasis on acquiring an outfielder or pitcher as the potential centerpiece. However, a deal doesn’t appear imminent. Benintendi is coming off a massively disappointing 2020 campaign in which he posted a disastrous .442 OPS and was limited to just 14 games due to a strained rib cage. The 26-year-old former elite prospect eclipsed the 15-homer and 20-steal plateaus in back-to-back seasons, after putting together a strong rookie debut in 2016, before enduring a dismal 2019 campaign in which he recorded an underwhelming .266/.343/.431 triple-slash line with 13 homers and 10 steals in 615 plate appearances. It makes sense for the Red Sox to explore his trade value, especially with plenty of veteran sluggers still floating out there in free agency. SOURCE: Jim Bowden on Twitter Jan 9, 2021, 4:22 PM ET =========================================================================================================== A source told BostonSportsJournal's Sean McAdam that an Andrew Benintendi deal could happen soon. The Marlins appear to be out of the mix. McAdam says others who have inquired include the Rangers, Astros and A's. Trading Benintendi at the nadir of his value is the kind of thing that could come back to bite Boston CBO Chaim Bloom. It's not as if the former Rays executive has done many great things in his first 15 months at the helm of the Red Sox. RELATED: Miami Marlins SOURCE: Sean McAdam on Twitter Jan 12, 2021, 1:31 PM ET

    Pizza

I don't think I'd be interested in a pizza that tastes like a cheeseburger. If I want a cheeseburger, I'll get a cheeseburger...lol If I get pizza, I want it to taste like a pizza.

I also really like Little Ceasers... Can't beat the price, and it's still pretty good heated up as leftovers.

    Pizza

I had regular old Pizza Hut thin crust pepperoni last night. Loved it! It's probably my favorite pizza, when it's good, it's good! It's tough to beat their thin crust when it's done just perfectly. I know the pizza purists will disagree with me, but I like their pizza.

  20. I had this on VHS back in the day, but got rid of it for the dvd set years ago. Kind of wish I had kept the vhs set too.
  21. Yeah, the 10th was just an add on, so not part of the original series. The only issue I have with the dvd issue is that the music is sometimes too loud to hear the people talking clearly. the content is excellent though. I can't see how a baseball fan wouldn't be enthralled with this series. It is just so great!
  22. If anyone hasn't seen it yet, you really should. I just started it again this past weekend. (this will be my 3rd time seeing it) It is must see TV for the average to fanatic baseball fan. Just so good!
  23. Well, since you guys painted this signing as a positive, I guess I'll make myself be excited about it then... I think we have the right to be underwhelmed... If this ends up being a low level signing, and we still have some other things to actually get excited about, I'm fine with it. If this is one of many signings that look the same, I will not be thrilled.
  24. Mark A. will never be at a loss for $ in retirement. I find it hard to relate to that myself. Put your money into the team Mark, you'll still live like a king the rest of your life...
  25. Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports reports that free agent second baseman DJ LeMahieu has told his representatives to begin negotiations with other clubs. The assumption all along has been that LeMahieu would be back with New York, albeit at a much higher AAV than the number he received from the Yankees in 2019 and 2020. Thus far, however, the Yankees have been unwilling to offer a contract to his liking, with Brown reporting that the infielder wants more than Josh Donaldson's four-year, $92 million and at least as much as the $110 million that J.D. Martinez received from the Red Sox. One of the top hitters for average over the past few years -- and he's provided a good amount of pop with New York as well -- LeMahieu is understandably frustrated, and Brown notes he's asked teams that have previously shown interest like the Blue Jays, Mets, Dodgers along with the Cardinals, Red Sox and Red Sox; among others. It doesn't sound like he or any other big name free agent is going to be signing a contract anytime soon. We're frustrated too.
